Oprah Winfrey embellished her poor upbringing and made up stories about sexual abuse to boost her ratings, her relatives say in Kitty Kelley’s new biography.
Although Winfrey claims she never had any new dresses or dolls, and had to adopt two cockroaches as pets growing up in rural Mississippi, her cousin contends she was actually relatively “spoiled” as a little girl.
“Where Oprah got that nonsense about growing up in filth and roaches I have no idea,” Katherine Carr Esters said. “I’ve confronted her and asked, ‘why do you tell such lies?’ Oprah told me ‘that’s what people want to hear. The truth is boring.’”

She is a total racist. There are 2 particular radio interviews where she gloats ho she only has white working for her . She’s a pig and always has been .
Whether the ‘allegations’ are true or not, this is a classic example of why you MUST share your extreme, obscene wealth with those that are willing to sell you out to the ‘highest bidder’. s/s/
Guess hearing this ‘stuff’ for what seems like forever, this particular relative decided she would/could start her own road to riches.
Is this purposely timed to the retirement? Now her family can begin cashing in on her ‘fame’ by degrading and selling her out, as the people that fawned at her feet for all these years will snatch up all the dirt and gossip, continuing the cash flow ..
BTW....I am NOT an OW fan
BUT some have accused me of being a tad cynical— in fact I doubt this ‘person’ really exists, just another way OW has come up with to ‘fleece’ her adoring public.....
