Some 20 pink dolphins were apparently poisoned and killed by poachers in Bazagan Lagoon in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, the Lima press said Saturday.
According to the daily La Republica, these pink dolphins (Inia geoffrensis) are believed to have been poisoned by fishermen to keep them from damaging their fishing nets.
The bodies of the cetaceans, between adults and young specimens 2 to 3 meters (6 1/2 to 10 feet) long, were found floating in Bazagan Lagoon, Requena province, in the northeastern region of Loreto, the Lima daily said.
La Republica said on Saturday that the pink dolphins of the Amazon must have eaten fish poisoned – according to preliminary investigations – with phosphorus or pesticides thrown in the water by unknown persons in order to eliminate them.
Any attempt to kill these animals is stipulated as an environmental crime in the Peruvian Criminal Code.
The pink dolphin is indigenous to the Amazon River and its tributaries in Guayana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
First an oil spill and now this. Liberal heads must be exploding!
While sad, innocent human babies are “terminated” by the second without conscience or consequence (in this life at least).

How utterly barbaric! I just cannot fathom how "people" can decide to make a career out of performing, over and over, the ritual slaughtering of perfectly alive, growing, unique, precious, and helpless human babies.
What kind of profound searing of one's conscience must occur in order to carry out this atrocity without breaking down mentally and spiritually?

People who work in abortion clinics are not the most happy or stable of individuals. Lots of drugs are used to make them forget what they really are doing.
I have a friend who once owned three clinics. When she saw the light she got out of the abortion business and has been speaking about her past life. She told me one time of going to a baby shower for a clinic worker around the time she, my friend, was on the verge of leaving the business. For the clinic staff to be celebrating the little life inside of one of them when they did everything they could to talk other women into letting them destroy their babies -- was a little more than my friend could take.
Praise the Lord! Only He can change our heart at the deepest level - turning our folly into fruit.
