PTA wants Coconut Grove Elementary principal fired
A Miami elementary school principal might be in store for a paddling after she mistakenly sent an e-mail telling a parent what she really thinks of her.
The e-mail, which told the parent to "eat s--- and die," was actually meant for the assistant principal of the school, not that that makes it any better. Honestly, how many teachers or principals have wanted to send this type of e-mail to an annoying parent, but never had the guts (or stupidity) to hit the "send" button?
We'd guess every single one of them.
Now the PTA is all over Eva N. Ravelo and wants her fired. Maybe a class in how to send e-mails to the correct person would be more appropriate. We'd also recommend a bar of soap and mouth washing, but that type of discipline is a little outdated.
According to the Miami Herald, the "eat s---" e-mail is the latest salvo in a spat between the PTA and Ravelo over Coconut Grove Elementary school supremacy.
Ravelo's supporters claim the PTA have been trying to run the school since Ravelo took over. The PTA, led by the woman ordered to eat poop, Abigail DuBearn, contend they are upset about Ravelo's unprofessional behavior. DuBearn just wanted to know could some students attend a school meeting on Monday. Ravelo responded: "Advise her to eat s--- and die."
So like kids on the school playground, the two sides want to play out their feud in public, throwing a little sand in each other's faces until the grown ups decide who gets to play on the monkey bars.
The Miami-Dade School Board is expected to decide on the best course of action next week.
I wonder how the tenured peahens are going to try to smarmy this under the radar?
Fire them all.
Take BACK our schools.
DON’T PASS BUDGETS!!!!
Some people need to get over themselves.
I used to manage a call center. Techs would complain about customers all the time with the mute button on.
Then we learned that the mute buttons weren’t really all that effective.
It’s a good policy not to send emails you don’t want to be seen publicly. Especially in work email.
No sh*t!
When I am composing a particularly harsh e-mail I always delete everything in the “to” field to ensure I don’t accidentally send it before I am ready or to the wrong person.
I’m wondering how much of the attitude of the Principal is present in Government Workers.
As long as kids weren’t around I don’t see this as a major problem. Some parents should “eat sh!t and die”. Have you ever dealt with any?????
The pittence that they make I don’t blame them being upset sometimes. I know the upper level workers make a huge amount of money, but most do not.

Tue; but I was thinking the 1SGs, SGMs, LTCs, COLs, and GENs analogs. {IE those in power/authority positions.}
That is a good point.
