There has been a lot of changing history on this girl. Before she won, it was listed that she was born in New York. Apparently not.

I agree...let's judge her on what she does and says and not on who her family is...as you said, you can't pick your family. But she CAN choose which of her family she associates with, and denounce those in her family that do evil.

Besides, if she's prancing around in a two-piece, then she's MINO (Muslim-In-Name-Only).

None of this is strange. Syria and Lebanon share in a history of having a wide variety of Islamic sects and subsects, and even people who participate in syncretic religions based vaguely on Christianity, Islam and Judaism (and probably other stuff).
