I know there is a lot of speculation on what will happen in the next few years, but I would really like to know if anyone has a real good sense of what will be going on in a few years. I would like to be prepared, but don't want to over prepare. Is there a real good sense of what is coming in the next few years? I have the ammunition I need, but is it really necessary to stockpile food. Just curious as to what other here are doing. Thanks
zotgiest say what?
No such thing.
Do you have a family?
There is different prep for a single than a family.
Mostly, get your soul in order.
We continue to prepare by dispensing ozone at the appropriate times.
Mexican/American war. Does that help?
I don’t know what’s going to happen, but here’s some sage advice:

Amen to that! You beat me to it!
Imagine if you were in the middle of a Hurricane Katrina situation, and everything that happened along with it, but it will last for an extended period of time. Just prepare for that, and you’ll be fairly well set.

Welcome to Freerepublic.com.
Your profile is incomplete.
What agency or organization are you with?
The key is to do everything, all at once, constantly.
Make sure you’re logged in. That may be the problem.
Welcome to FR
You apparently just joined today, so you get a pass.
There a NUMEROUS threads on FReerepublic about future scenarios and likelihoods — and how and whether to prepare for the future. There’s thoughts and ideas to agree with, disagree with, retain and discard.
A simple one to explore goes to a phrase you used — “enough ammo”. THAT alone has been a topic of real debate and discussion, accompanied by rational discussion of the 2nd Amendment.
I encourage you to use the search function and explore the wealth of old threads and topics on FR.
Good luck with this being tour first (?) vanity post ;-)
Move to Wyoming. There’s a reason only 500,000 people can survive in this state! ;)
Thank you for signing up today and asking these important questions.
Over the next few years, you'll experience some changes. Your voice may begin to deepen and you will start to grow hair where you have never had hair before.
Don't worry. It's all perfectly normal.
Go rent “Mad Max.”
Decide: are you a man? Or a monkey?
There’s a lot here who can tell you what you need. But I’m the guy that can GET you what you need. FRemail me your credit card number and we can get started immediately. ;^)
no, you do not need to stockpile food. when the SHTF all of the grocery stores will remain open and shelves will be full. same with filling stations, they will all be open 24 hours a day with unlimited amounts of fuel for all......good God.

Historically God Almighty destroyed the idols men put their confidence in. In the USA the rule is not at the White House, or the State Dept, the Pentagon, or the Congress, Supreme Court or the Press. The rule is at the Central Banks. Honey, we are SLAVES. And they will dictate to us and we better be ready to dance when they play the fiddle. The idea of In God We Trust on money, is kind of laughable, because MOST Americans TRUST in their god..that was elected, and he won’t be able to pull any rabbits out of this sleeve.
Ditto this!
STOCKPILE food, more ammo, weapons, medical supplies, etc.
By the way, see post 13.
Be wary of everything Laz posts, ‘cuz he hits everything.
You’ll learn the meaning and deep significance of zots, series, hugh, cheese and showers.
Until you know those terms in context, the full meaning of FReerepublic will not be clear to you.
LOL.
I’m working on getting my own little fiefdom, like Luxemburg, only of course a lot smaller.
Um no...the narco traffickers are the exiled Medellin Cartel operating on the borders. Mexico City is safe because the narcos are smart enough to stay out of there.
A bunch of yahoos in the border states on the Mexican side are on the payroll of the Medellin, they are the ones that populate La Raza and the like. Then there are the ones on the US side.
Mexico is a country of contrasts. Need to unite conservatives there with conservatives here and rid the border regions on both sides of the narcos.
Some advocate drug legalization, I don’t. Narco deprived of their illicit drug trade will resort to extortion, prostitution, controlling provinces by controlling politicians and judges. They are like the Al Capones of today.
A war with Mexico will only make matters worse.

First and only.
Thanks, that is the funniest comment i read all day..:>)
Rawles! Is that you???
A lot of people are scared, but don't know exactly what to do about it.
Geez...that a tough question, I guess you should pick door #3.....OVERPREPARE!!!!!!!!!
This is really second nature to the vets on this board. After all after Y2K...what could be worse!
Perhaps a quick note to the PREZ....he would know what to do. After all he did save the south side of Chicago. Its a garden of Eden now, I hear.
Good Luck Shooter!
Food is the most important unless you want to use that ammo to steal someone else’s food.
I am not going with like bunker supplies, but be sensible on what to save and rotate. Like don’t just save canned vegetables, don’t forget meat. And I watch for sales to stock up. For instance those tuna packets were on a good price last week and I bought about 20 packets of tuna that has a pretty long shelf life. Good source of protein!
Also, don’t forget things you won’t be able to run out and get if a bank collapse happens. If I see cough syrup or bandages and most especially ibuprofen or other fever reducers on sale, grab up a batch extra. You don’t have to go and spend a boatload of money on storing supplies all at once, but get a place to have your ‘stockpile’ and as you catch something on sale that seems like it would be good to have (don’t forget menstrual items for the ladies in your house) if you needed them.
I know they have these MRE’s and stuff like that and I just can’t afford stuff like that. But I do have some corned beef hash! LOL
Oh oh oh, and powdered milk!!! They have powdered buttermilk and regular milk which stores and you can cook with it if you can’t get milk.
Hope that helps.
As long as electricity, water, gas and pizza delivery are still working I'll be ok.
Are you looking for someone with a crystal ball? If I may give you some free advice, I’d recommend spending some time reading various threads before posting vanity threads. You’ll find lots of good information and know more about how not to embarrass yourself. Unless, of course, you enjoy abuse....

Better get ready.
First you need to clean your hard drive of all evidence. Go to “run” on your computer and type “format c:”
It’s all just part of this rich tapestry we call life.
Welcome to freerepublic.
Wow! I hope your day improves!
FYI — The validity and seriousness of replies on FR is directly proportional to the amount of time that elapses from sign up to posting of the first vanity.
Laz hit my mom so i call him daddy
There’s no such thing as being overprepared even in good times.
