Obama's latest Brobdingnagian ego trip implies HE alone will plug the leak in the gulf.

"Malia knocks on my bathroom door and, she peeks in her head and she says, 'did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?'"

- President Barack Obama, May 27, 2010 White House Press Conference

This will happen right after he waves his hand and the seas part....

Today’s word makes me think of Bill Clinton’s nose, then it makes me wish for the days when he was president. This is bad!

Heck, I yearn for Hillary as president. I would still be complaining, but it’s better than being scared to death for our country.

Not a knock on the thread, because I think it’s a great idea. But this isn’t a word, it’s an NPRism, the type of word liberals love to throw around to make themselves seem superior. Seriously, why is that any more of a word than, “Thatsnotamoonthatsaspacestationian?” If you mean, “huge,” say “huge.” If you mean huger than huge, say, “Obamaegonian.”

positively brobdingnagian realization.

Apparently, Peggy has still not been away from the scotch long enough to see what everyone else knew going in.

He Was Supposed to Be Competent????? What the hell was in his background to make such an assertion...

why aren’t they EMBARRASSED that they were stupid enough to be taken in when the rest of us weren’t. It’s as if someone gave them permission, all of a sudden, to be disillusioned with him.

I know, it’s downright comical.

You should see how quiet things are on the BarryO thread at TGG.COM...

The BushBashingBarryOCheerleaders over there barely come around, and when they do they try to stick to policy....

On another Note, the GuvILuv was on PBS last night taking calls and was AMAZING...Not just in the manner that he speaks Zero B.S., but his overall grasp of every and any issue, and ability to communicate it ON THE SPOT, is imho, unparalleled by any current officeholder.

Actually the Prof is up in the Midlands, they only visited London. Her class went to York to see a play, and Monday are traveling to Stratford-on-Avon to see “Romeo and Juliet” at the Shakespeare playhouse in his birth town.

Good weather in Russia continues. St. Petersburg trip is this weekend, so I might get pics after.

colleen’s dad is over there, as well as her older sister and the sister’s fiance and he has “rented a castle” for them for a week. i am imagining that it’s similar to going to somewhere like the Greenbriar, where there are other guests and organized activities and meals served in a bucolic setting. She will be coming home next week, so we will hear all about it.

reminds me of my mom and her sister...they lived across the street from each other while I was growing up. there was a pain in the butt neighbor near us who got a speeding ticket....the two of them and my cousin drew a $100 dollar bill, which was his fine, and put wings on it like it was flying....wiped off their finger prints and mailed it out to him.......they giggled like school girls....her neighbors should make up a phony pay check with her real salary, add it to a newspaper clip of her comments and mail them to her. it would be fitting. she is a joke.

The band named Brobdingnagian Bards had a tour stop at an Irish Pub in Killeen, Texas back in 2003 by the name of the Irish Dragoon.

Unfortunately, the pub closed in 2006.
