Am I the only one that stares at people in cars that have Obama '08 bumpers stickers? Sorry, but I can't help it. Why is it that they all look odd?
These days do remind me of the feeling in the Hoover-ville in LA, in the opening credits of John Carpenter's "They Live"

Carpenter must have had that painful-to-watch struggle/fight scene go on and on for good reason.
I have seen them on vehicles driven and occupied by both Blacks and Whites. The vast majority of them were on vehicles driven and occupied by Whites.

A few weeks ago, I blew past some aging hippie in a tie dye hat and a Honda Insight puttering along gloating about her 55 mph. I stopped for dinner a hundred miles later, then passed her again.
We rolled around for years with a W oval, and as far as I know, no one was ever rude or demonstrative in any way toward us; certainly never destructive, and we live in heavy blue country. There’s a certain wisdom to just saying, “to each his own.” Saves a lot of wear and tear on the emotions, especially while driving.

My friend and I have a great time when we go shopping...we play a game of picking out Obama voters...nod our head at someone and ask, “what do you think?”...by the contents of their buggies, attire, over all look, we have gotten to be pros at picking them out!...we have also found that when you get one by itself, they won’t respond to anti-obama remarks...but you get a couple of them together and they turn into pirhanas that will chew you a new butt hole in a heartbeat!

Absolutely they look bitter. Do you see the ones with dozens of liberal bumper sticker on the back of their old Volvoes? They look the most bitter of all. Back when I had a Bush sticker on my Tahoe I had an old dyke in a beat up Jeep try to ram me repeatedly. When she finally went past me I saw her liberal bumperstickers.

The other day I went downtown to a coffee shop. When when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
I said to him, 'Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break'? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires.
So I called him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket.
Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said, 'Obama in '08 .'

At my local parish I saw a car with two bumper stickers:Pro Life the other was an Obama sticker. Cognitive dissonance ?
