Uh this would be a computer for me.
I would not be selling it. Never said I would sell it, don’t know why you made that up. (typical fanboy misdirection tactic?)

The point is (which you missed entirely) Apple doesn’t make an OS that is usable outside of their hardware.
Their hardware is not good enough for the price they want.

I can make a better machine for half the money but Apple software would fail to run it. Plus, after the years of Apple fanboys and Linux people bitching about MS’s license(s), Apple has the most restrictive license out there!
A lot of fanboys are major hypocrites.

I know there’s been some major bugs but why is Apple so afraid to sell their OS?
I guess it’s more profitable to rape their loyal customers than expand their market.

“With the popularity of Apple retail stores it is unsurprising that Best Buy would not sell a ton of Apple stuff. “

The nearest Apple store is about 1.5+ hour drive from here.
This Best Buy is in the biggest shopping area, just off the highway, within 10 miles of 2 good sized universities and 1 mile from another (practically right behind the store).

Even considering student discounts, where were the “adults”?

.
“With the popularity of the iPhone and iPod it is getting harder and harder to find people who aren’t previous Apple owners.”

I meant a loyal Apple customer, not just a cell phone owner (I think you knew that). The point is, outside of fanboy types (who will buy\collect anything with Apple logo), who bought the iPads?
Answer: virtually nobody.

I’ve had Apple products over the years but I would not consider myself a regular Apple customer, certainly not a fanboy. If I could find a use for an iPad, I’d still consider myself a “new” Apple owner.
Problem is, iPad comes up short on so many things I’d be better off to buy a $0.99 clipboard at Odd Lots.

But the hype beats on......
