How in the world does a hole emerge?
How much deeper (and more extensive) is the dark part at the bottom?
I think Devil's Millhopper is greater in extent (500 ft diameter), but certainly not in depth (120 ft). Devil's Millhopper has been around long enough to be picturesque. These in Guatemala are just scary.

When you look at the width and depth of this massive sinkhole in Guatemala, it is actually quite difficult to fathom that this isn't a man made hole.
Here's a funny line. It appears to be saying that the thing is so awesomely huge that it's difficult to believe that it wasn't made by man. Yeah, in all of nature, there are few things that can compare with what people do.
