A pit bull attacks its owners sending a woman to the hospital and injuring a man.

Eau Claire County Sheriff Ron Cramer says the pit bull attacked the couple around 6 p.m. Monday at their home on Skeels Ave. in the Town of Washington on Eau Claire's south side. He says there appears to be no reason the dog attacked them.

The woman was taken to the hospital for wounds to her arms. The man had injuries to his stomach and chest but refused medical treatment.

The sheriff says the pit bull is now at the Eau Claire County Humane Association being evaluated.

On Sunday, the neighbor's chihuahua bit someone and inflicted some serious injuries. That story never made it to the media.

We had a man here in my town go nuts yesterday. He kept the police at bay with his 2 pits & it made the paper. Pits didn’t bite anybody so I guess that isn’t news lol.

On a serious note, I’m sorry about your neighbor’s injuries. Any animal that inflicts injury to a person should be kept strictly under supervision at all times.

Probably because the litte expletive would have a hard time jumping high enough to take out someone’s throat.

The fact that the police showed restraint and didn’t shoot the dogs should have made the news.

The dogs were well behaved & the police had no problem with them. Just the fact the man was threatening the police with them. Once they were able to get the man away from the dogs it went fine. I don’t even think animal control took the dogs, no mention of it.

The paper made more of the fact a cop hurt his knee in the struggle to get the man cuffed lol.
