SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Attorneys for a prison inmate accused of killing a guard while escaping from a Salt Lake City medical center are seeking to cover his neo-Nazi tattoos during his trial.

If the tatoos are the result of a prank played by friends when he was passed out, then cover them up. If the stupidity was self inflicted, let them show.
This is why we need jurors who know and understand their rights. I have a feeling an informed jury would declare this idiot’s tattoos to be admissible evidence.

Nothing enhances your “employability” quite like facial tatoos.
Whatever happened to tasteful, understated SS runes tattooed on the neck? The Nazi’s woulda made this clown into lampshades.

Too bad someone didn’t put this mad dog to sleep before he killed someone.

Any identifying marks on the suspect? OH! What am I not saying...

If he’s recanted his neo-Nazism and those beliefs played no role in the killing with which he is accused, then cover them up. They’ll unjustly prejudice the jury.
If not, fly his freak flag high. It’s what he is.

I don’t know... He may need a bigger gas mask.
This is the asswipe that murdered Marion Carl:
Jesse Fanus - Oregon Name: Jesse Fanus DOB: 06/02/79 Race: White Gender: Transgendered - Male to Female Marital Status: Single Sexual Peference: Women Height: 5'7 Weight: 150 Eye Color: Green Hair Color: Dk. Brown Seeking Donations: No Write Overseas: No Conviction: Aggravated Murder Date Incarcerated: 06/1998 Earliest Release: Never Serving Life Sentence: No On Death Row: Yes Seeking: Open minded confident person that can hold an intelligent conversation. Gender is not important though I prefer women. I am interested in starting a friendship with a woman prefereably. I only recently (3 years ago) came out as transgendered and would like to write someone to begin a fresh start with. I am fairly bubbly and tend to be somewhat immature for my age. I do enjoy writing letters, reading and playing guitar (not very good though). If you're interested, please write. Address to write to Jesse: Jesse Fanus #12724162 Oregon State Penitentiary 2605 State Street Salem, OR 97310
A Nazi-style "SS" symbol tattoo on Fanus' neck was visible at his trial.
I ran into this clown a couple of weeks before he murdered General Carl. He was, indeed, bubbly and immature, having a buddy of his buy him beer at a gas station. Probably wouldn't have remembered him at all, but for the tattoo.
I want the pillow concession at that guy’s house.
It shows state of mind. This jerkwad ought to get the chair.
I'll bet they do.
I guess a mustache wouldn’t do the trick.
Gundog in Post 19 has clarified things. This man is already on death row, and has been for twelve years, so this is an old story. Interesting and joke worthy at the expense of the scumbag, but old.
RIP General Marion Carl, God bless Mrs. Carl.
Fry the guy already.
He’s being tried for a murder that took place in 2007, while he was a prisoner.
Nice guy. Thanks for the info, but what are they going to do? Kill him twice? Kill him for the first murder and bring him back to life if he’s acquitted for the second?
And if he’s found guilty, do they have to postpone the execution for his killing General Carl while he appeals the verdict for the second murder?
Don't give the ACLU any ideas.
And if hes found guilty, do they have to postpone the execution for his killing General Carl while he appeals the verdict for the second murder?
Nope. First come, first served.
Heaven forfend.
Nope. First come, first served.
So... The point of the second trial is...? Spending taxpayers' money? Useless exercise, but keeping judges, court reporters, lawyers, and bailiffs employed?
The point of the second trial is to make sure he gets dead in case the first one gets thrown out.
Oh. Thanks. I’m so ignorant about all that prison/murder/criminal law stuff. Too bad Mumia didn’t kill someone in prison.
