This was obviously after the CG told him a few days after the explosion, the blown out well would leak 8,000-20,000 barrels a day.

Obama is always the small man in the room who imagines himself a giant.

A Leader would be thinking about what needs to be done, who needs to be involved, where and when to begin, and how to communicate why it is important. I am certain the only thing Obama is thinking about in this picture is how he can turn the crisis to his advantage.

You're right, of course. See how he has turned his entire body to the side and looks sideways back at the briefer - that shows he is giving only partial attention. I would bet a hundred bucks that he is literally facing the door (the way out). His left leg is crossed over his right, furthering the effect of turning away, as if to show his backside to the briefer. Finally, notice his left hand and how he is pointing his index finger down at the ground, as if to signal he wants this event to be over now.
