OKLAHOMA CITY -- Boston-based radio talk-show host Michael Graham is a conservative with a sense of humor. That comes through loud and clear in the first chapter, titled “My Mother, the Terrorist.” Now, Graham’s mother, Patricia Graham, a “happy homemaker” from Columbia, S.C. is not really “hate-mongering radical” or a “terrorist,” but she is viewed as one for simply attending a Tea Party.

Graham goes on, over the course of 244 pages, to show how the Obama-loving Left (Graham calls them O-bots) embraces a sort of Orwellian “doublethink” when disagreeing with those who don’t share their radical worldview. To the Left, who hate Tea Parties, patriotic, everyday Americans are the enemy –dangerous and violent folks looking to sign up with a fringe militia. “Happy homemakers” like Graham’s mom, are demonized, with help from a compliant media.

Yet Graham reminds us of a black Tea Partier named Kenneth Gladney who was physically attacked at a St. Louis Tea Party. Where was the outrage from groups like the NAACP or the Democrat Party? (Cue crickets).

I listen to his show from time to time, but to be honest I learn little or nothing from him. 2 hours of Avi Nelson on Saturday will leave you more informed than a week of Graham. As an aside, Mike is a superb example of that type of conservative who really would have benefited from a few years in the military; in many respects he never grew up.
