Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott says Texas has turned down an invitation to leave the Big 12 and join his conference.

We don’t want Texas and would like to give Colorado back.
LOL....what’s there to admire?
“Give ‘em another play.”
That they are going along with the general greed that’s ruining college football.
Yeah, I’m sure their decision had nothing to do with money.
I really hope that comment was typed with a heavy dose of sarcasm. That is the only reason UT did what it did. It knew their pull would be greatly reduced in teh PAC-whatever.

;)
Looks like the Aggies derailed their grand scheme.
If they left the Conference the Texas - OU game wouldn’t be. Since the different Conferences negotiate and have different broadcasting companies (ABC, NBC, ESPN, etc) pay to play their games only. Kinda like a monopoly, huh.
A rivalry between Conferences would be nixed by the broadcasters. IMHO.
Personally, my favorite is Friday Night High School football! Yeah!!!!!
Wahoo!!!!!! Did ya hear that aggies? Don’t you dare run off to the SEC now!
I was getting ready to put my Big 12 gear on e-bay. I thought we were goners because UT President William Powers is a Cal-Berkely alum
~ snicker
The Texas AD is a Kansas State alum.
Yes, I knew about Deloss. Hell, he built this program and wanted to keep the Big 12 together but I wasn’t too sure of Powers
In our new world the Big 10 will have 12 teams, the Big 12 will have 10 teams, we will drive on the parkway and park on the driveway. Everything is normal!
Missouri, which started it all with the flirtation with the Big-10, does not deserve to be included in the new Big-10!!!!!

Reggie Bush meets Ugly Texas Uniforms, LOL~
Don’t forget “Cats and dogs living together”
LOL- how ‘bout not moving to a second rate conference.....
Kansas vs. California battle between AD and President and the result is a 10-school Big 12. Pretty funny.
Yeah it is, good catch. Apparently Kansas had 10 million more reasons why the Big 12 should survive
Texas raised, Texas A&M called. Texas was in the process of folding and Texas A&M decided to fold and did...not like cheap suit.
Texas A&M likes to play little brother and wonders why they are not given more respect.
No university has uglier uniforms than Oregon.
All those team joining the PAC10 always seemed kind of goofy to me. When you think of Pacific do we think of Oklahoma and Texas? I think not. Maybe they could rename the conference to something else other than the BIG (whatever number of teams we have in the conference). With that in mind may I suggest the Big Ten rename itself the Woody Hayes Conference. HEE HEE HEE!
There a guy on espn radio on sunday morning that was making the point that since Title XI requires that mens and womens sports be treated equally this has basically forced the universities to try to make as much money as they possibly can from college football amd mens college baseketball since those programs at most universities are the only sports that actually make money and they fund the numerous college sports programs that lose money. Can we really call them greedy when they really need to make that much money to simply survive.
UT did it only for themselves. They will make more money than anyone in the conference, while before it was all equal. They can make as much as $10 million more AND they get their own network.
They are the ones who bullied Nebraska out of the conference to begin with.
Screw UT.
