Ok, This needs to be said..(Message for Sarah Palin)

Posted on 06/18/2010 10:17:01 AM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

Governor Palin,

Please revoke your support for John McCain and back J.D. in Arizona. I say this as perhaps one of your biggest supporters in the world. Your support of senator McCain is making any Palin supporters' life just flat out miserable on the web. It is giving some sick, twisted and misguided people a tool to divide conservatives. In this case, give in just this one time. It will really put your "conservative enemies" into a corner. Please stop supporting John McCain.

And a message to the anti Palin crowd on FR..

Give her credit for conservatives that she does support like Nikki Haley. Don't focus on a narrow agenda. Please stop with the attacks. Please.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If she supports Mc Cain, people will see her as a RINO, even though you can look at her record and decide for yourself.

If she did not support McCain, the guy who in the eyes of many catapulted her into the national political arena, she might be seen as one without loyalty, even though Juan might not deserve it on his issues stances.

If she can't be loyal to one who people perceive as getting her where she is, people would not see her as capable of being loyal to the electorate, either, and she would join the ranks of the self-serving politicians in the back of everyone's mind.

If the voters of Arizona thake a good look at their alternatives for Senate, with the political climate there, one would hope they'd make the right decision no matter who is backing who.

Does Sarah lose in the political claculus of the situation? Maybe, maybe not. She will ultimately rise of fall based on her positions on the issues, not McCain's. She is still free to disagree with him on those, despite stumping for him.

Thus the danger of placing anyone, especially a politician on a pedestal. Sooner or later, she will fall off and disappoint you. Support her, as I do, but keep your eyes open.

My position exactly. I would love to see someone better than Palin come along, and I'm keeping my eyes open as I try to find such a candidate, but so far I'm not seeing anyone better. She's absolutely pro-life, and I doubt that anyone can question that since that's how she lives her life and her youngest child's life. She absolutely supports the Second Amendment, and again that cannot be questioned. She absolutely supports our troops, and again that's how she lives her life and how her oldest son lives his life. She absolutely opposes corruption, and that's how she started in politics and how she advanced and maintained impressive popularity with both political parties until she dared to challenge Obama/Biden. I'm still not sure what McCain believes, but I have no doubts about Sarah Palin. All in all, that makes for a great candidate and is likely to make for a great president, which we need after these terrible four years that we're almost halfway through.

Aren’t you gonna do one of these. I’m confident that it would at least be logically based and more interesting than the others’ efforts here.

Thank you for the backdoor compliment. If I knew Sarah Palin personally, I would probably beg her to stop supporting McCain.

You FReep-mailed me....

WVNAN, Sarah Barracuda, Cindy and several others know me very well. WVNan knows me personally.

Stop trying to personally attack me.

IF I were to personally attack you (which I'm not), I would do so in an open forum.

Why don't you ping your friends? Oh - too late - I just did.

If Palin would give in to the political pressure on the McCain endorsement, she would destroy her reputation as a maverick who doesn’t pay attention to political pressures.

You know you are taking a lot of heat over this thread and handling it well. If you apply the same in your problem areas with others attacking Palin for supporting Mclame then you will be fine. No one person Politician or not are perfect. You just have to deal with the warts and move on.

How many ego building vanities have you started on this subject?

Not on this subject, but I did notice that this particular freeper does tend to post a lot of vanities; more in one month than I have posted in my entire time at FR.

At least most of them are in general/chat, although there is the occasional "news/activism" vanity post.

Different folks just use FR in different ways.

>>>> "I don't see anybody supporting other candidates. What I see is people trying to attack Sarah Palin. And when they do, they don't mention anyone else." <<<<

That's very peculiar.

I've seen ALOT of support for Senator Jim DeMint.

We must be participating on very different threads.

Anyway, why should you care if people are attacking Governor Palin??? That's politics, it's proof positive that she's a credible threat to the status quo.

For instance, do you EVER see anyone attack Placid Pawlenty?? LOL, of course not --- who cares about Pawlenty? Noone.

You should put yourself on a week fast from SARAH-ONLY, Sarah-ALL-The-Time messagethreads and get acquainted with the rest of FR.

There are Demint fans, Cheney fans, Bolton fans, Bachmann fans, etc/etc/etc.

And by the way calling a Respected FReeper a troll is a PERSONAL ATTACK.

I don’t see anybody supporting other candidates. What I see is people trying to attack Sarah Palin.

Look, junior.

She isn't a candidate for anything.

What "other" candidates?

Please list those who have declared ANY cadidacy.

Of course, you have to know that Palin isn’t reading FR, and is certainly not going to read your vanity post that you pretend is addressed to her.

Your vanity post is therefore not an attempt to convince Palin to change in a way that would “stop the attacks”, but is instead an argument with fellow freepers about what Palin would have to do in your opinion to stop the attacks.

If you wanted to “stop the attacks” on FR, you’d instead post a vanity arguing that, since Palin won’t change her position, fellow freepers should just stop attacking her for it.

I post a lot of Major League Baseball threads. Sarah Palin threads. Just life in general threads. And I try to time them to the point im not cluttering up the forum with a Vanity at a time when something important is going on.

I think I have tried that already.

As far as Palin never reading my thread. You don’t know that. Sometimes something a simple at a 2am quote on a low traffic forum can go viral in the political nature of the internet.

Don't worry about the people attacking Sarah, most aren't Republicans or conservatives and are only here to convince us that no one is conservative enough or that all is lost and we should stay home in protest.

Most are third party desert wanderers, Losertarians and Democrat operatives. Why would you let people you don't even know influence what you believe?

Yeah, Palin will be the disloyal, backstabbing ingrate you want her to be.
Sure, that's the ticket.

Are you a moron, or just a simple troll?

Who is there to support? I don’t like Palin so I will not give her undivided support right now. Right now there are not any good candidates. I have been so burned out on horrible candidates that it is possible that I could stay at home for the first time.

We better field a candidate worthy of my vote or I might not support them.
