Rahm Emanuel, President Obama's chief of staff, told 60 Minutes that the job is 'a tremendous amount of pressure.'
No, that's not Obama in '93 'Whoomp! (There it is)' video Bam slams GOP for blocking unemployment benefits bill Rahm Emanuel calls Joe Barton's remarks 'dangerous' Daly: Want to punish BP? Build more energy-saving subways White House gate crashers stir it up again Rahm Emanuel just can't take it anymore.
That's what "Washington insiders" are telling the London Telegraph, which reports that the White House chief of staff is tired of sparring with both Republicans and fellow Democrats and will quit in the next six to eight months.
"I would bet he will go after the midterms," The Telegraph quotes a "leading Democratic" source as saying.
"Nobody thinks it's working but they can't get rid of him - that would look awful. He needs the right sort of job to go but the consensus is he'll go."
Emanuel, 50, has been one of the most prominent faces of the Obama administration and a lightning rod for critics.
This year he battled Republicans on health care reform, watched the President's approval ratings plunge, and found himself embroiled in controversy when the Wall Street Journal reported that he had called a liberal group 'retarded' in a closed-door meeting, prompting Sarah Palin and other conservatives to call for his resignation.
Emanuel, who has openly admitted he didn't want the chief of staff job when it was first offered to him, said in a March interview with 60 Minutes, "It's seven days a week, constant. And even at night, you're never really calm sleeping. No matter how exhausted, you're not calm. You're never kinda off."
The father of three also told 60 Minutes that the job is "a tremendous amount of pressure. And it's a tremendous amount to ask of your family."
According to the Telegraph's sources, Emanuel has told friends he is "very sensitive to the idea that he is not a good father for having done this," and that privately he has expressed a desire to run for Mayor of Chicago, his home town.
He doesnt need to quit. He needs to be fired NOW. Hell Obama needs to be fired NOW
Hussein should get his walking papers in about 29 months.
What’s the big deal. Obama will just find another twisted piece of crap to replace him.
True he needs to be canned, but isn’t two years about the average time one spends in that job?
Being in a gang of CHicago thugs is catching up to Rahm. And all of them will likely end the same way as most Chicago thugs.
Anyone who works for me and says I’m giving my 1 week or 2 week notice. I cut them a check right then and say Thanks have a nice day
Rahm has found it frustrating that Chicago tactics meet with public displeasure. Therefore, he wishes to return to the place where his tactics are more easily concealed and are expected. The bully wants his old playground back.
I might be glad that he’s quitting-—but he’ll probably be replaced by Attila the Hun or worse...........
They built an add on studio for Disney/ABC, why not one for Rhoma's house arrest?
Rahm Emanuel wants to jump ship because he does not want to go down with the Obama sinking ship. Rahm is smart enough to realize that POTUS Barack Hussein Obama is a total failure as POTUS and things will get worse. He wants out, the sooner the better. Once again, the Democrat Party had better get POTUS Obama to resign or impeach him. Failure to do that will take the Democrat Party down with Obama come November, 2010. And....if that buffoon, Obama thinks the words of GOP congressman Joe Barton will save him and his failed Democrat Party, he is dreaming, just as a major political internet site continues to do. Shame on these low life destroyers of America!!!
Incredible quote from the article:
“Democrats have not stood behind the president in the way Republicans did for George W Bush, and that was meant to be Rahm’s job.”
Things have to be bad for Obamao to fire his gay, bathhouse buddy. How is Obamao going to work off the tension of working when he can’t play golf. Rahm offers so much more than the teleprompter.
Compare this with his boss who never works seven days a week (if at all), spends every evening with his family, is never exhausted, and is always off. It is obvious that Emanuel and Axelrod are running the Whitehouse while Obama is the figurehead. Emanuel's job is so exhausting because he is doing his boss' work.
wow...if that rat only had a pancake on its head...

[... six to eight months ...]
That’s not a “QUIT”. That’s a “FADE”.
People are having a hard time holding on to their homes, their savings and their families.
There will be many, many more sleepless nights for those that have stolen from this great country. A “new” job may not be the medicine for what “ails” ya, ballerina.
Sometimes, when you have nothing left but an empty bank account and overwhelming discontent, you have a lot of time on your hands....to community organize.......
