Since there are plenty of folks who find FR confusing to navigate, especially newbies, how about some technical links to help us out?
I posted on my state board earlier but now it's gone. For some reason I was logged off FR. Yes, I'm logged in now, but my state board section has disappeared and I can't figure out how to get it back.
I tried accounts> manage blocks> local message, but it didn't work. Neither did other things I tried.
While I'm at it, what happened to the opinion polls? They disappeared a couple years ago. The option for them is still in the manage blocks page though.
Help?

I need someone to tell me how to remove articles I’ve bookmarked on the right-hand side of the main screen. They don’t seem to appear in my profile to change. Any idea?

Tried that a few different ways. Isn’t working.
I *can* get to my state board that way, but I shouldn’t have to do that each time, and my state board isn’t showing up with my other subscriptions like it did earlier.

Click on your name - your FR page should come up, click on your state flag top left an corner, rite now, my state flag isn’t showing but I can get to my state board that way, there are issues with FR so maybe later you’ll be able to access your state board/

Speedy fast on my end since early this morning.
My flag isn’t showing up either. Hopefully my state board will come back at some point (next to the others where it belongs). This suggestion of yours will work for now though, so thanks!

The site is currently working fine on Firefox but will not load on Safari on my iPad. Something isn’t quite right.
Painfully slow in Northern California.
Slower than a union molasses pourer in January here (Firefox).
Hope Jim Thompson gets this figured out soon.
Go to your FR Profile page. Clink on “Links” at the top of the page between the “About” and “Contact” links.
Your bookmarked links will show up. At the bottom of the page, click on “You can edit this page.”
Delete to your heart’s content. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Hiya rocky! At this point it doesn’t look like anyones flag is showing (just that nice red X). However, looks as tho everyone can still access their state message board thru it.

At the bottom of the sidebar, click "Configure Sidebar." My page Layout will appear. Look down the list of sidebar items for "Bookmarks." It should be in the large box labeled "Right" at the top. When you find "Bookmarks," see the pop-up menu under the heading "Region." (It should say "Right") Click on the box, and drag to select "Disabled."
Finish by clicking the "Modify" button at the extreme lower left corner of the web page.
My way gets rid of them all. Buckeye’s way will let you knock of just a few....

If I knew HTML better then I would be able to quote you in italics, or provide links with descriptive names instead of just a URL, or post pictures, or insert info from elsewhere (like info on the fed budget) and have it come out correctly.
So yes, it can be very helpful to know basic HTML here on FR.

I’m sorry, the first part of my answer is missing.
The HTML sandbox is an FR thread that teaches HTML (bold, italics, underlining, inserting pics/graphs/charts or other info, quoting outside sources, colors, etc.) and provides a place where people can practice their new skills.
I’m not sure what you’re describing. My search box is in the top-right corner. Can you post a screenshot?

on the right side of the main FR/index page i added a Keyword section under Front Page News/(News Activism) but don't remember how i did it

Are you talking about “popular keywords”? A list of keywords like obama, banglist, jpb, keywords like that?
If so then go to your “accounts”, click on “manage blocks”, find where it says “popular keywords” and then disable it (as opposed to right, left, top, bottom).
Otherwise I can’t help other than by bumping your question.
no, it is a keyword YOU pick, and i can see it in the manage blocks and do anything BUT delete it or change it i read it in a thread how to add a keyword but i can't remember the thread either

I had heard that HTML sandbox was also a place to help people maintain the correct posting styles. For example, quoting in italics followed by regular type face. The sandbox was to show people how to do the italics (and add pictures, etc.)
