If we ever get to the point where there is a CWII, I’d be guessing that there won’t be any mosques left standing. They’ll very probably be one of the first targets in every community and any walking ragheads will be hightailing it out of the Land of the Free back to the sands of Allah.
I mean, have you ever been to Hawaii?
America has Moved On. Let’s focus on the losers in life’s lottery. /s
Would we allow the Japanese to build a Shinto temple next to the Arizona Memorial?
Surely a promise made to be broken.
Yep. From the Metro [UK]:
Police commissioner Ray Kelly warned Islamist extremists similar to the Times Square bomber, Faisal Shahzad, were living in the city.
He claimed 11 plots to attack New York had been foiled since the 9/11 atrocity all planned by people living in the US.
Does that include the contingent here at FR that seems to have long "American Idol" threads, not to mention others?
Amen.
>I mean, have you ever been to Hawaii?<
Yep. Not my style. I don’t like sleeping next to a volcano where the only option of fleeing is to head for the open ocean. Also, it’s too dang hot. Much prefer living in the land of the elk and big deer.
First thought here too, Joe.
You mean to tell me it’s nearly NINE years later...and we still haven’t finished sifting through the rubble?
The further we get away from the horrific event, I think the memory will fade. The groups that have built websites recounting the lives of the murdered is a admirable way to give a face to counter the evil that is terrorism.
What is this "old news" and we just move on?
Considering the number ‘72’ has significance to jihadis, I am especially opposed to a mosque there.
Even well after the collapse[s], some below-ground cavities that had been used for utility and infrastructure purposes were paved over without being searched for remains.
I believe this is the material that was sifted through.
The active search for the dead ended at the site in 2002 after a massive cleanup of 1.5 million tons of debris. About 20,000 pieces of human remains were found, but the DNA in thousands of those pieces was too damaged by heat, humidity and time to yield matches in the many tests forensic scientists have tried over the years.
More than 40 percent of the 2,749 Sept. 11 victims in New York have never been identified.
Darn!!...I never even gave that a thought. That is a sure sign from somewhere.
For the longest time, I could not watch anything relating to 9-11 because I would either tremble with rage or start crying like a baby. That day is carved into every Americans brain.
And now the murdering “religion” of child molesting scumbags want to build a Mosque over the site of their greatest triumph. And the mere thought of that gets me all POed again.
