Skip to comments.Vanity -- is anyone else having trouble seeing state flag images on FReeper pages?

Since the recent to-do with the change of FR's IP address, I've been having problems seeing the state (or region) flag images on FReeper pages. They all come up as broken links, although if clicked they still go to the blog for the appropriate state. What gives?
I can’t see them at all.
That part of the servers must still be down.
Yes. I too noticed that as I like to read up on some of the posters occasionally.
I figured it was work in progress getting it back as it isn’t a hot priority.
Yes, same here.
Same here. Flag icons aren’t accessible.
Nothing but red x’s (but you can still click on them to the state discussion boards).
Yes, no flags here either.
Yep ......they be fooked up a bit still. Confidence and patience my friend !
They’ll fix it. It is 99% better than last weeks down time.
Are you sure? Have you checked lately?
And is FR still running REAL slow? I click on a “reply to” and it takes awhile. Then hit the “post” button and wait maybe 15 sec.?
I’m just glad we’re up and running though.
Yeah, it does seem a tad on the turtlish side tonight.
I don’t see them. Haven’t since last w/e crackup.
I can’t see the state flags either, and the auto-FR icon at the top of the Forum page is missing also. I don’t use it that much but did notice that it’s missing.
Have you thought or sending a note to John Robinson. He is a genius and he would have the problem fixed quickly
The flag pic is down on my page. But FR has been loading real slow on some days so I am wondering is something up with the servers?
Yep, they’re gone. I guess you didn’t get the news, Obama sold the rights to all our State’s flags to raise money for his Carp Czar.
Obama burned them all.
That indicates I'm in a state of confusion.
Can’t believe nobody said it...
Are you logged in?
Glad to see your post, thought that I was the only one. Computer is on it’s last legs it is. Looking for a new laptop.
<td width="1%"> <a href="/perl/profiles?location=61" title="Illinois Message Board"><img border=0 src="/images/flags/us/illinoiC.gif" width="68" height="50"></a> <td width=10><br>
The good news is, because of the title attribute, you can still tell it's Illinois by mousing over. And the link still works if you click, you get sent to the Illinois message board.
The bad news is, no Illinois flag, because http://www.freerepublic.com/images/flags/us/IllinoiC.gif gives a 404. Also, minor nit-pick: no closing </td> to balance the opening tag. But browsers don't care ...
Probably got lost in the rubble after the recent server problems, and John Robinson hasn't yet got around to restoring the location flag collection.
Same here. Also, the “Page views” statistic has been a) Not showing up on new threads, and b) not updating on old threads, for about a week.
Yes... Same Problem...
Maybe people are tired of the same ole thing...
