I could listen to him speak for hours. A truly honorable man, from the little I know of him. The Van Helsing of social economics. He can put a dagger straight through the heart of Socialism and American Liberalism without even breaking a sweat.

Friedman was such a genius. It annoyed me no end that the lefties at U of Chicago objected to an institute there in his name. Most of them couldn’t hold a candle to Friedman’s brilliance.
Man, I miss this guy. I was lucky enough as a grad student to have dinner with him on two separate occasions and I was in awe of his ability to take every-day events and explain the economic basis that drove them in such simple, yet elegant, terms. He was, truly, one of the greatest minds of our era.
