Tamara Holder complains that Governor Brewer did not go to college
Fox and Friends | 7/7/2010 | Fox and Friends

Posted on 07/07/2010 3:35:27 AM PDT by Bernard

Tamara Holder, contributor to Fox News, just made an argument that the immigration law in Arizona has another fault; apparently Jan Brewer did not go to college, so that must make her incapable of governing. Steve Doocy challenged Tamara to verify what she said, but then he changed the subject.

Looks like FNC is interviewing replacements for Juan Williamsn and Kirsten Powers in case of emergency.

How about this...how about we start a new course of studies.

White-Men's Studies

That should really pi$$ off a few liberals.

No argument with your conclusions; just not sure how they apply to the original topic.

My Dad, who grew up in the Depression, only finished 8th grade, but he would have made a far better governor or president than many we’ve had.

Don’t forget all the law and education degrees that helped make our congress and public schools what they are today. :-(

How about a market researcher with an MBA from Clemson? Of course he would first have to survive a grueling reelection campaign against an opponent with a famous name.

Did Tamara Holder go to high school? She obviously does not know the form of Government that America has. In America the LEGISLATORS WRITE THE LAWS, not the Governors.

Perhaps the kids in my area are just stupid. It has taken both of my kids 5 years to complete the necessary work for a degree at a “full up four-year university” and from conversations with other parents, I understand this is the new normal.

As an aside, neither of my sons has pursued a career in the field in which they received a degree. One abandoned plans to attend law school and is currently self employed in the craft brewing industry (making a killing too, lol) the other is currently taking classes at a “community college” to gain some marketable skills in the job market. Apparently that degree in Art History isn’t bringing in the job offers he had hoped for. He needs employment in order to finance his one true passion, writing poetry, which he has been doing since he was a child so he didn’t learn how to do that in college.

There should have been more of this made during the Kagan hearings. With her confirmation, every justice on the SCOTUS will have gone to either Harvard or Yale. We have a small clique of law professors vetting and indoctrinating SCOTUS justices. That does not sound very “diverse” to me.

“White-Men’s Studies”

I wasn’t aware that college was a requirement.

Anybody know where Jesse Ventura went to college?

Hmm, I wonder what would happen if someone were to write a traditional history book and name it:

White Male Studies: Kicking Ass! A historical perspective and contemporary analysis.

No, but Alvin Greene went to the University of South Carolina and received a degree in political science and the liberals are busily trying to throw him under a bus. For some reason they don’t think he is very smart in spite of reports that he was clever enough to spend thirteen years in the military without hitting a lick at a snake.

Hilarious. After working in Human Resources for many years, I know that a college degree doesn’t guarantee competence or intelligence. In fact, it seemed more often than not that those who matriculated in the School Of Hard Knocks, with tons of experience under their belts, performed much better than the highly degreed co-workers. They had better critical thinking skills, and got along with people better, too.

And if we’re talking college why won’t Hussein provide info on his college experience, including his GPA? Michelle’s Affirmative Action experience didn’t do her any favors, either. Dumb as stumps, both of ‘em.

Perhaps Ms. Holder could tell us which colleges George Washington and Andrew Jackson attended.

Or give us the names of the high school and the college from which Abraham Lincoln graduated, for that matter

Gunny G
aka: Dick Gaines
**********

Considering what folks have to surrender to the state in exchange for their "work permits" (the exclusion of others), I would think that this would be a BIG PLUS!!!!! for the governor.

College? Who in hell is Tamara Holder? Journalism school makes one eligible to be a common-tater? What bovine feces!

She is pretty good at bringing down big game too. Maybe she could go after some really big game...Dept of Ed, IRS, FDA, ATF, Fed Reserve, Dept of Homeland Security etc etc etc. Bring ‘em all down!

I heard it this a.m..

She is an Obama evangelist like the rest are. Evangelism is preaching beliefs to others who do not hold those beliefs.

When she came up with that idiot remark of no college degree, she had already lost the argument.

My personal pet-peeve whenever I read this crud -- I had one semester of junior college, a year of practical experience working in the field of my chosen career path when Life happened, surgery required, post-op complications from that stopped any thought I had to having a normal life, let alone complete higher education, earn a degree.

Intelligence is not *learned*, book smarts/swallowing what the professor says whole do not a good governor make. I challenge this dunderhead to show me how I can't handle Executive Office because I don't have the sheepskin on the wall.

As shown throughout the thread, plenty 'nuff examples in our history of not simply competent but brilliant leaders who did not either. Gov. Brewer may be listed among them one day, methinks.

Some of the most unqualified people in US society today are ‘journalists’ and TV commentators pretending to be knowledgeable in a wide range of subjects. Few of the them have an in depth knowledge of any subject they report on, even after many years in their racket.

Not only do most of them lack real knowledge, but most are also steeped in leftist nonsense and political correctness, which makes them doubly uneducated and at times dangerous.
