Every day this week has come with a new, expletive-laced rant from Mel Gibson. Audio expert believes the taped phone conversations may have been altered.
In the latest recording released by RadarOnline, he berates ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of their 8-month-old child, for not giving him oral sex and screams that he'll burn their house down. "You're dishonest and you're f **ked up!," he growled. "So you stay the f **k away from me! Take care of your f **king son and I better have my daughter!"
But is it possible his rants aren't qutie what they seem? Grigorieva denied she released the tapes. Now some question their integrity......

Is anyone with audio editing experience out there willing to splice together a rant from bits and pieces of his movie roles?
Maybe they were the work of Osama Bin Laden.
Who among us, in the throes of a highly emotional situation, would not be further stressed by this level of scrutiny, whether genuine or not?
This reeks of witch-hunt, and has been played so many times on the liberal networks it's sickening. But not one word about "killing cracker babies"....Hmmmm.
No one seems to be denying that it is in fact Gibson on those tapes.
Mel who said that the mother of his child would be raped by a gang of N-Bombs and his voice that admits to punching the mother of his child in her face.
He is on some bad medication.....and he needs a new therapist.
I have wondered that as well. Also, her voice comes across more clear, as if she isn't on a phone line but he is.
Perhaps it is easily explainable by whatever equipment she was using to record the call, that it may "shield" her voice from sounding like a phone conversation, but it seems a strange effect if so.
I think she’s holding a mic up to the phone-that’s why she is so clear. But I’m no expert.

If one of the Hollywood bunch is perceived as too conservative, the liberals gang up.
This woman, who has children for profit, set up a tape recorder and instigated arguments over several days, knowing he would act out, then the most damning parts could be spliced together and *BINGO*...the Golden Meal Ticket.
Mel needs to sober up and go home to Robyn and the kids.
Funny that they came out after she reneged on a court approved agreement with Gibson. And after a judge sealed them when she let slip in court that she had them.
Unfortunately he isn't on any medication for his bipolar except alcohol.
They did the same thing to that noted conservative, Alec Baldwin.

I’ve wondered about it, and know that it isn’t that difficult to do, but don’t know enough about it to be certain if something like this particular tape has been tampered with. Hopefully, someone out there does have that expertise, and can explain the process well enough for the rest of us to understand.
I wonder if the “so called” ranting match any of the movies he has been in?
Distinctly possible, and if so, probably really easy to prove. The other thing I do wonder about, assuming the tapes are real, is if he’s got a tumor or lesion on the brain, or something like that.

I know nothing about acoutics science or electronics, but I remember thinking when I heard one of these recordings on the news that her voice quality seemed too clear for a recorded phone conversation. But I could not explain why it seemed so to me.
He’s bipolar. He said so in an interview.
Audacity is one tool for windows computers that lets you split and combine tracks, for example, and it's free. I don't know what all is available to professionals, but I wouldn't doubt that there is stuff that will let you do the audio equivalent of photoshopping my head on Mel's body.
Makes ya wonder doesn't it? I really hate to see people self-destruct, and Mel is doing it with the pedal mashed to the floor. He's done some truly great work over the years, and all of it will be tarnished by not just what's happening now but what's about to happen. He's not done yet. I'm pretty sure his downward spiral has only just begun. He has a lot further to go, and may not survive it. I just hope there's nobody else with him when it finally happens.
Which is controllable with appropriate meds. Maybe he's off his meds, and maybe he's being set up. Who knows which at this point?
He could, for example, be bipolar as heck, and still innocent in this particular case. Or fully controlled, and guilty as heck. Anybody know anything about her in regards to mental stability? She could be a factor in more ways than one.

I think the jury is still out on if he fell, was pushed, or jumped. If he’s had help, it isn’t self-destruction. If he’s done this to himself, yes, it’s very sad, and I’m with you regardless in hoping no one else is harmed in the process.
Watch a close friend take a bunch of Ativans then watch him drink a bunch of Beers.

Even without the tapes, authorities have the photos from the girl’s dentist of how Mel messed up her mouth with a few punches to the face. The dentist will testify.
I hope the young wife gets as big a settlement as the old wife did.
Mel Gibson is a racist sexist pig, and his glory days are over forever!
Audacity, although a nice enough free cross-platform audio editor, is child’s play compared to what is out there for the pros. I am a musician with a just enough experience to be dangerous, and it is almost scary how powerful some of the professional software is. Think of what you have seen photoshopped and apply it to audio only.
I have gone into a studio, sung and/or played a few takes I wouldnt have wasted a cassette tape on in the past, and seen the studio gurus turn it into something fairly listenable.
She hangs with Hollywood and seems to pass from man to man. She has 12 yr old son with Timothy Dalton. And now "accidentally" gets pregnant with Gibson. Who "appears" to be out of control. And rich.
Another thing is if this is the "real" Gibson, she didn't see this before? I'm not buying that one either.
There's just too much here that doesn't smell right. After these tapes were allegedly made, they went to Russia together. She never called police. He accused her of shaking the baby. They had an agreement through a court mediator on support and visitation. She reneged and the tapes appear. AFTER a judge sealed them. Something is rotten here.

To my knowledge Gibson has not offered a defense as yet.
He said in an interview that he’s bipolar. He’s also mentioned suicide which is scary. I’d bet he doesn’t always take his meds. We know he drinks.

Well...I think he’s hit bottom....hopefully he gets serious and gets some serious help....
Yeah... dunno what it all is, and while it doesn’t excuse him, it goes a way to explaining some of his bizarre personality: His father really did a number on young Mel. His father was seriously messed up and a vicious racist and had some fairly extreme fringe pseudo-catholic beliefs.
Unless he saw Gibson punch her it doesn't mean much. It simply means she had damage. And there are two sides to every story.
