I am sorry that I concluded that only a short sighted idolatry and hero worship of the man could lead one to such a conclusion.
The guy is a sick twisted racist, a Holocaust denier, and apparently the kind of guy who would knock a woman's teeth out while she held their infant.
You may think the tapes are not authentic.
You may think he didn't really knock her teeth out.
You may think that if he DID knock her teeth out it was because SHE was out of control and he was dispassionately doing what he could to protect their child.
But to think the guy isn't a racist? Because he had good working relationships with other races in the past? The Whoopi Goldberg ‘he isn't a RACIST racist’ position?
Really?
But I suppose you didn't really admire the guy beforehand, so your conclusion couldn't possibly be based upon anything but a dispassionate review of the evidence of the man's own words.
