I love Walmart! I love there stock even more which I have owned since 1995!!!! Yes!!!! Keep it up Walmart. Anyone here who is complaining about this cannot be a conservative. Walmart is all about Capitalism!!!!!
They forgot that ridiculous War on Drugs that was started in the 80’s is a complete failure! Thanks Nancy and her “Say no to drugs” nonsense.
It’s well known that government cannot run an enterprise. You need business people to run a business.
Well, at least try to get the facts right.
Nixon started the WO(S)D in 1971 and exactly what part of “Say no to drugs” is nonsense? Really, telling kids not to use drugs is far different than the core tenants of the misguided WO(S)D and is, if nothing else, the appropriate thing to tell children.
You can blame the WO(S)D on Nancy Reagan if you want, but you sound retarded when doing so.
Yep...I prefer “say No To Thugs” myself....
Excuse you. First of all if you had any sense at all than you would know that I grew up in the 80’s and if you think the reason I did not try drugs is because of Nancy Reagan than I have wonder about your so called brilliance. My parents are the ones who influenced me not some politician’s wife. A Republican who got fired from his job is the one who started a big government program? And your trying to impress me?????? ROTFLMAO! I find that sad that you are bragging about Dick Nixon who did not finish due to Watergate is the one who started a huge government program. I am not impressed!!!!!!!!!!!

In 1982, Mr Walton personally campaigned against the first attempt to organise Walmart warehouse workers and truck drivers by the Teamsters union. After winning the dispute, he told employees: We will never need a union if we work with and for one another and keep listening to each other.
The union switched to its current broader political campaign against Walmart, and since 2008 has been lobbying Congress and the Obama administration for labour law reform....the company embraced a new role as a leader in environmental sustainability efforts, a position that has also broken up the informal anti-Walmart alliance between green activists and the unions. It further divided its opponents by joining an alliance with the SEIU union on healthcare reform. Remember all those Stern visits to the White House?
Former Chief Lee Scott has also attempted to reposition Walmarts corporate reputation, bringing in Leslie Dach, a public relations executive with close ties to the Democrats. Mr Dach now sits on the companys executive committee, led by Mike Duke, its current chief executive.
Only time..
Tag: Andy Stern
... left his job running the Service Employees International Union with a mess of financial troubles that will end up costing taxpayers dearly. Andy Stern left his former employer saddled with nearly $85 million in debt, pensions underfunded by 68 percent. Those numbers said pale in comparison to this one: $60.7 million. Thats how much the SEIU spent electing Barack Obama. Stern was then appointed to the prestigious debt commission, no one in Washington was surprised...more
they sold out to Labor, now only time...see above
Does this mean that they are going to start unions?
Well, the obvious solution here is that they need to tax Wal-Mart more to pay for all those failed government programs listed. < / sarcasm >
As a manager (unpaid of course) of our condo complex, I had to deal first hand with a federal government process. In this case, a survey of a sample of residents. The purpose is to verify residency so as to help qualify the region for more federal funds (that the government does not have).
So riding around in the elevator with I ask: Do you ever knock on a door and say “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” As a joke.
She looked at me puzzled. Never heard the expression before. Did not get it.
Sheds a little light on the disconnect between the taking class and providing class.
LOL.
A retarded statement followed by a paragraph of gibberish?
I can take that nonsenese apart, statement by statement, and find nothing either true or sensible. Nobody cares why you did or didn’t do drugs, but Nancy Reagan’s approach was perfectly sensible.
Whether you like Nixon or not, HE started the “War On Drugs”. If you found that singular bit of FACT to be “bragging”, then your comprehension is as lacking as your logic.
Please, do your research before you start slamming on the keyboard.
A better solution would be to put all the Wal-Mart greeters in charge of the failed government programs and retrain all the incumbents currently in charge of the failed programs to be Wal-Mart greeters.
lol. Ok you did make me laugh. Have a great day. No I am not giving you the complete win on this but in some ways you are right.
Have a good day.
Backing by Labor..says something to me.
Walmart claims it it non union but only have to read the new "shift" within the company in 'thinking'.
Walmart was making visits to the White House during the Obamacare reform onset with Stern right there in attendance.
No one gets along unless benefited in some way or paid to do so. Perhaps the kindness of Labor's hearts for the poor living in depressed target areas.. ;)
Then always wonder who owns the "dirt" underneath.
2. I didn't see any "bragging about Dick Nixon" in the post you attacked.
3. If "some politician's wife" coined a phrase that agreed with your parent's teachings - why should that draw your animosity?
4/a. More to the point, for someone who professes to share Republican views - what's your beef with President, or missus, Reagan?
4/b. Nixon I'll give you part credit, there was a lot not to like and we got Jimmy Carter as punishment.
I don’t like WalMart. Any more it is ‘dictator shopping’ of the very limited products offered. Cheep prices = cheep crap from China and Mexico. I find any more the frustration of fighting the small parking spots and grubby customers to less and less choices on the shelves is not worth my time. The other two stores in my area now get more and more of my because they have choices and brands I want to buy.
You said it!
Say NO was a very simple and effective answer and far preferable to no knock raids on the wrong house, shooting the family pet in front of the 6 year old child, and tasering Grandma to death.
