Which category does cRap fall in? And pop music like Lady Gaga? There's nothing adult about that.
And I think Jack-FM should have its own serparate category.
John-Boy and Billy show really took off after they formatted to play on Country stations...and Rush all by himself would put news/talk in the top 10, I believe...
Lady Ga-Ga is “Top 40”. “Hispanic” at #5 is totally alarming and sends chills up my spine.
Some of my 16 year olds friends like Country, Top 40 and rap. I like all kinds of music. My wife likes country AND western.:) NOBODY likes hispanic music except hispanics.
Hard to believe sports talk isn’t in the top ten.
And how is Country and other formats above Top 40 if the main billboard chart that includes airplay is loaded with the popular crap and the Country/AC songs don’t dominate that chart? The only thing I can think of is that young people who are in to the new gagakatyperryrapkesha crap buy a lot more single downloads and the sales figures of the single is what pushes it over the top? I would also guess the top 40 station plays the popular songs more often than the Country station does.
It dominates here in Dallas with the 24-50 Male demographic, with The Ticket.
Rememeber, it’s not based on audience or content but how much money it attracts from advetisers.
Are they including it in “news/talk”?
We’ve got WJOX and Finebaum who can be heard on FIVE different stations at the same time driving through Tuscaloosa....crazy.
I think it’s the effect of “block voting”
Just like essentially all black people voted for Baraq, essentially all Hispanics listen to Hispanic.
