Rush Limbaugh has made a brilliant suggestion for a nationwide civil disobedience reaction to the judge striking down the Arizona illegal immigration law: EVERYONE leave your Drivers Licences at home and reply to EVERY official request for identification with "NO HABLO INGLES" and force all law enforcement to arrest you and run down your ID themselves and then take them to court for illegally requiring citizens to identify themselves while looking the other way for illegal aliens. With full participation by ALL CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVES nationwide, the entire legal system can be brought to IT'S KNEES IN ONE DAY.
This act of civil disobedience would galvanize the TEA PARTY RIGHT and put fear of the electorate into the government like nothing since 1776.

Great idea. Unfortunately, most us work for a living and can’t subject ourselves to time, money and legal turmoil this would create for our families.
That is why we have elected officials. I encourage as many as possible to take part in this effort. But more importantly, I implore Gov. Brewer to ignore this ruling and start enforcing the law.

It actually works in another way. If you get a request for license/registration/insurance and you are white that is de facto descrimination because it is not required of latinos.

There are far too many cowards in this country who will never fight for liberty if it 1) makes them uncomfortable; 2) costs them any inconvenience; or 3)might interfere with them getting their government check.
They will stand meekly in line to let the government bureaucrat tattoo the mark of the Beast on their forehead, and by their cowardice, condemn their children and grandchildren to slavery.
As in our pre-Revolutionary War days, it will take a small group of warriors committed to liberty to risk, to fight, to die for slackers who do not deserve freedom.
You would also have to leave your vehicle tag at home as well.
Produce proof of valid license (in case you forgot it like Barney Frank the other day) to get out of jail. Or offer the option of a one-way ticket to Hondurus.
Not to get arrested for just not CARRYING ID.

You would probably have to do something first to get pulled over. And I don’t need anymore tickets.
I think it would be better if we just boycott everything that might involve using illegals. If you are in a resturant and the staff looks there might be illegals, just get up and tell the mgmt that you are not eating in a place that uses illegals. They may have health issues.

Sounds great, but do know what the fine is in New Jersey for not having your license, registration and insurance card when stopped? Can amount to hundreds of dollars which I personally cannot afford.
That might not be a bad idea. In fact, I KNOW that is going on with the members of my parish.
We are in a Slovak Catholic Church. Tons of members have people on the waiting list for greencards. They DO NOT frequent places with apparent illegals. If they look like they could be, they walk out.
We have many a Latino family there as well, who went through the $$$$ and wait to get papers. They are equally as ticked.
It IS a brilliant idea, but tragically there are too many Lindsey Grahamnesty’s out there and too few Rush’s.
It isn’t possible to enforce against a movement.
Tear it up and throw it in their face.
So, when are you planning to go to jail for the cause?

Better yet, put “no habla espanol” on the ATMs and all of the phone system menus.
Wrong address on a license, no plates, etc and easily run $200-$300 per and get your license suspended here in Wisconsin.
It’s scary but a couple of those will get you in much more trouble that a drunk driving first or second offense.
Be careful with pop disobedience. You can run yourself into the pokey and get hammered with years of increased insurance costs.
And you can bet the judge won’t be kind considering the overt disrepect and decline in municipal revenues during the recession.
Other than that, great idea.

Yeah, because needlessly tying up local law enforcement—who have nothing to do with the Obama administration—and bringing the entire legal system to its knees is a great way to get people to support your cause. If Keith Olbermann had suggested this strategy as a way to galvanize opponents of something done by the Bush administration, you would have laughed out loud at him.

Olbermann isn’t heard by 20 million people.
It should be apparent to all but the most dim-witted that votes alone are never going to reverse one iota of leftism.
When, best case, you get a 20-vote majority in the House and 51 senators, you will get absolutely nowhere for two years.
And then IF you get a “center right” President in 2013, the most consensus you can get is the old “tax collector for the welfare state” Republi-cratism.
But the system cannot withstand 40% (or even 10%) who will not be governed, particularly if it is the very people whose resources the government relies on to run.
While we’re at it, what’s to stop me from acquiring a few extra Social Security numbers and alternative identities? Apparently there’s no down side for an illegal alien doing so — why can’t I?
Assuming Limbaugh actually proposed this, it’s just a stunt that won’t do anything.

If people would just focus like a laser on either doing one of those or encouraging others to do one of these, we could have an impact.
