The New York Times has published a few photos from Chelsea Clinton’s wedding to Marc Mezvinsky, held this evening at a private ceremony in Rhinebeck, New York.

I am thrilled for her. She has been through hell and back and turned out to be a great person. People say that she got where she is because of her name.....like Bush didn’t get there due to his name or McCain or many other people who follow their parents into the family business. Do you realize that McCain only got into the Academy due to his father and grandfather going there.

She looks very classy. That is a beautiful gown and her hair and veil look perfect. She certainly does not have Hillary’s physique. If anything, she looks painfully thin, but maybe the stress of this event has been hard on her.

OK, I will admit...I am a gawker when it comes to pictures like these. Chelsea does look beautiful. It is her wedding and although anyone can fault or praise it, Chelsea had her day to remember. Politics aside, who would not do everything they could to give their daughter a perfect wedding? We all know that what the rich do is never going to be what they tell others to do. We all know the parents on both side have notorious histories. Who knows what this couple will become. I just hope, for once, they are a couple that stays happy and out of the public view. I think, if I were Chelsea, I would want that very badly.

Chelsea looks deleriously happy. Hope they both find strength in each other as their lives until now have been wrought with horrors dumped on them by their parents.

Of course I am just using the fact that she didn’t get knocked up, arrested, on drugs, etc (yes there have been doctored pictures of her drunk perhaps ONE NIGHT in her 30 years but I find them suspect)....anyway I can only go by what we know just like Palin....do I really think she is a nice person? Only by what I know of her from the news.

Nobody knows what kind of person Chelsea is or her husband, but kind hearts wish the best for a couple on their day.
I guess we all believe in redemption and that children can be better than their parents were.

Chelsea looked spectacularly stunning and happy on her wedding day. Best wishes to the young couple as they start married life together.

Yup, McCain proved himself by having one plane explode under him while still on the deck of the Forrestal and then get shot down by inferior forces.
Her parents used their high intellects to decide that the way to power, prestige and fortune was not through achievement in business or science but government. After Chelsea graduated from college with a worthless degree she got a high-paying job in a field she had zero training for and zero experience in, just like her mother who made a killing in cattle futures by reading the papers. Everything she has she owes not to achievement but connections. Now they are at the top, married in a multimillion dollar ceremony while the government her parents helped shape ruins the country that provided their fortune.
I could have sworn I saw that same pose on one of the UK sites with a prayer shawl over his shoulders.
