I'm not disparaging Publix, just making note of where I got it.

The atheists are doing everything they can to get God out of our lives. If they don't believe in God, so be it! But, keep their beliefs, or non-beliefs, as is the case here, to themselves!

Is this still legal money?

Was that just stamped on it?

I would take it back to Publix, ask for the manager, and then request that he provide you with a dollar bill that has not been defaced. Take your receipt. If everybody who gets one of these demands a substitute, stores will stop accepting them.

I get defaced bills in my store all the time. My bank tells me they will eventually make their way back to the treasury to be destroyed.

Yes, it’s still legal tender. Yes, the God-haters continue their agenda...on so many levels.

That circle with the line in the middle is almost exactly like Barack Hussein 0bama’s signature except 0bama crosses the “t”.

That money is government property. It has been defaced. That’s why they can’t use real money in movies.

I noticed the stamp didn't say they didn't believe in God, only that they don't trust Him.

Oh well, hell's waiting....

Interesting, I googled “atheist money stamp”. I had no idea there were people out there who so hate the idea of “In God We Trust” that they were having stamps made and taking the slogan off of their money. Sheesh, a lot of work for something you think is a fairy tale.

They’ll just cram them into change machines, soda machines, etc. It doesn’t matter what they write, or what they believe or trust in...it only matters what you believe and trust in. This little ploy is not furthering their cause, it just shows how immature and stupid they are.

Their petty tricks may be self-amusing, but the Kingdom is unfazed.

They will acknowledge the majesty and power of the Lord our God.

If not in this life, then the next.

yes.

BTW, has anyone seen any money with Tim Geithner’s signature?

Why not?

But, keep their beliefs, or non-beliefs, as is the case here, to themselves!

What you saw is a reaction to your side not doing exactly that. If you push, expect push back. Way back when some people decided we needed God mentioned on our currency, wouldn't want some later society's archaeologist digging us up and thinking we were heathen (assuming Christianity would still be around in any recognizeable form).

I get a lot more of these "Where's George?" bills. Nothing like assisting the Government in tracking where I spend CASH.

Exactly. I don't think Christians raised a big stink about Mercury dimes.

That money is government property. It has been defaced.

It's still perfectly legal tender. It is only a crime to deface currency for fraudulent purposes (like pass off a 5 as a 20). So it's still legal to write "Happy Birthday" on that $20 in the birthday card, and for stores to mark a bill with a marker to check for counterfeits, and for people to use those penny engraving machines, and for atheists to cross-out God.

It will be be destroyed within the same lifespan of all bills, about 18-22 months.

Personally, I think it's a stupid ideological shouting match from both sides.

What do they have against Scientologists? I mean, disrepecting aliens and all.

They mention aliens? One would think most atheists believe in such things.
