See my note below the pictures (first comment). Every one of these can be clicked for larger.
The name of the ocean waterfall is Gasadalur. You can see a panoramic picture of it here.

Beautiful photos! I’ve been to Iceland, but the parts I saw were not nearly as beautiful as this (flightlines and such). Thanks for posting.
Wow, what beauty, and at night I am sure there is excellent stargazing and views of the aurora borealis.
save for background. Unique.
Just gorgeous!! Would be a lovely place to visit. We’d love to go to Iceland someday as well. But first, we want to take a European River Cruise!
Stunning photos! Great post!
I am going to Iceland in September 2011.
Save your Kr. These photos look a great deal like Iceland. I have been there many times and it is a wonderful place to visit. I would recommend June when the days are longest however all the seasons are wonderful and make for wonderful photo opportunities.
Next time you go, get thee to the Western Fjords..Get to Vigur. It is spectacular.
Go to Iceland. From there you can fly to just about anywhere in Europe with not much trouble. Icelandair...
It can be really cold so you have to go prepared whatever season you go but it is glorious. And when in Reykjavik, a good restaurant is Caruso’s.
For shopping there are many fine shops, one on the outskirts is called Alafoss and I think there is one downtown Reykjavik too. Wonderful woolens and other Icelandic treasures.
It will be pretty then. The birch will be changing colors. If this is your first trip, be sure to take warm clothes..it may be Sept but it can become really cold.
But it is covered in ICE!!!!
i set this one to my desk top background. I think that water was photo shopped it is to blue but it really looks great.
thanks again.
