Don’t they ever have cravings for something good?
I know I feel like when my body needs somethign I get massive cravings for it.
I can tell when I am low on Vitamin C, for example, because I am dying for some orange juice.
No kidding. When I was making weight for wrestling I had the meanest cravings for McDonald’s French Fries for the sodium.
Seems like there would be a lot of denial going on to only eat those three things.
I met a British lad about 19 that would not touch a vegetable or fruit in any way, he sought out any hidden vegetables in a burger or other foods and made sure there was none, except for french fries, (but not potatoes in a more vegetable form).
He stayed with us for maybe a couple of weeks and I searched for something that he might overlook or not count in his strict anti vegetable, anti fruit eating, but I never saw anything.
He was already pudgy, doughy, and unhealthy looking at 19, and I tried every way that I could to try and make him aware of scurvy and what I thought was a minimal level of nutrition that one needed to survive, I wasted no effort on promoting eating healthy, like pushing a lot of vegetables, I merely stayed with trying to promote the idea of eating an occasional slice of tomato, or orange, or something, anything, but he was convinced that none of that nutrition stuff was true or necessary and vegetables and fruits repulsed him.
This was 30 years ago and I sometimes wonder what came of him.
I don’t think people like this have eaten enough foods to have the cravings. If you’ve never had orange juice your body can’t tell you to drink orange juice, it doesn’t know the taste to make you want.
