It's been a rough week for Fantasia Barrino.
The American Idol season 3 champ was hospitalized Monday in Charlotte, N.C., after overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid, her manager Brian Dickens confirmed Tuesday.
"Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time," Dickens said. "Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon."
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the incident was classified as a suicide attempt. The police report lists Dickens as the reporting person and says Barrino was found with "possible internal injuries."
Fantasia:

First of all, there’s no incentive to overdose on aspirin since there is no such thing as an aspirin high or any pleasant feelings at all. But if you take too much, it eats holes in your stomach and causes dizzy spells. ON an empty stomach, I suppose it would make you vomit.
Fantasia is a single mom. Never had a husband. She had a little girl when she was on Idol. Close to her Church but I suspect the fame spoiled her.
She went bankrupt. Borrowed tons of money for a big house and then didn’t pay the bills.
All in all she is without structure and without a strong support system.
I wish her well.

Sounds like someone who continues to make bad decision after bad decision and doesn’t learn.
