According to the incident report, an employee spotted Polhemus stuff a Publix 16-pack of jumbo hot dogs in his pants and walk out of the store.

If you're going to steal something why not make it a top of the line name brand?

So apparently there is a whole subculture devoted to smuggling hams out of supermarkets and I had no idea!

I just picked up a couple of packs of Hebrew National Hot Dogs at Publix about a half hour ago. BOGO. Got two packs for just $4.99. BTW, the guy in front of me on line had two half gallons of Lactaid which cost him a total of $7.78 while I had four quarts of Lactaid so the same amount. My total cost after coupons...76 cents. I pointed out to the guy that the $2 coupons are easily available right where the Lactaid was in the Blinkie but he just stared at me with a blank look on his face. Clueless. Meanwhile by not EASILY using the coupons that were available right there, he screwed himself out of over 7 bucks.
