THIS CCTV footage captures the moment a middle-aged woman picks up a cat - and drops it into a wheelie bin.
The grey-haired woman, aged around 50, is filmed stroking tabby Lola on a wall outside a house on Brays Lane in Coventry at around 8pm on Saturday.

WTF is wrong with this dingbat?
A wheelie bin?
A wheeled garbage can.
But even more I don't like the fact that surveillance in the Western world has gotten to the point that everything is watched. That is the true horror here.
And that these infractions such as this cat incident, or the woman who urinated on a monument are touted as needed to keep up the surveillance.
That might have been easier to watch if she wasn’t so nice to the kitty at first.
She pets kitty, rubs it’s neck then throws it into the wheelie bin.
Sick people in this world.
I don’t even like cats.
That’s people from Coventry for you
Perhaps she was just offering kitty the nice fish in the wheelie bin.
Creepy, being watched and all...
And I hate being thrown into weely bins :/
At second thought, it’s a busy street, perhaps she thought kitty was safer in the wheelie bin, could have been run over...
Nah, some people are just crazy.
It’s not like it’s big brother, government wasn’t watching. It was a private residence?
We have trash cans, they have weely bins... thats the difference... bunch of Euroqueers....
Exactly, the way she went about it was really sick. She pet the cat, looked around, pet the cat, looked around some more and then dumped it. She’s a demented woman.
This is Australia. They aren’t Euroqueers, they are like us.
Well..except for the crazy lady and I’m sure we have a few of those too.
Used to work with a dude from Oz, and no, darlin’ they are not like us... sorry to tell ya...
Why shouldn’t I be allowed to set up surveillance outside my home if I want to, to see who comes and goes at my front door? I had friends whose neighbors were causing them problems night and day only they couldn’t prove it until they got actual footage of them, caught redhanded. Perhaps they have had trouble with someone before.
That's a disappointment. I really thought they were fiece independent sorts. A land of manly men.
You just ruined my vision of utopia - Australia.
It is all government surveillance.
What a meanie. Meanwhile, I am feeding 2 adult and 5 kitten strays every night.

You can set up surveillace out side your home.
Sad that a country that has citizens who cannot defend themselves has everyone watched, both public and private.
Been there - done that. Quit when my son and my boss started to tease me about being "the cat lady".
Had the momma cat fixed, got rid of the kitties on Craig's list and quit feeding the Tom that stopped by. He looks okay, neighbors are feeding him.
Compassion is one thing but you start feeding one kitty and all his relatives start showing up.
I am sorry I put my elbow in your grits ( thanks L.M. :)
Remember, Oz is the land of POMs ( prisoners of majesty )....slaves... ( though Angus Young and Casey Chambers are some good soundin’ inmates...hehe )
On the bright side, all of the Cool Europeans are in North America...or I may just be some kind of racist!
That’s exactly what happened. First there was one...
Well that was a bit....Psycho.
Or else she figures there are lots of rats at the sanitary landfill and the cat will have lots to eat (if it makes it there alive).
See?
People always want to jump to conclusions
;)
You really don’t care much for cats either do you?
Just saying....
I hope you keep feeding stray cats in the future.
I got nothin against them, so long as they stay outside and dont yowl.
You need to get them fixed or they will force you to get rid of them. I ended up getting 14 fixed. found good homes for most of the young ones. Ended up with 7. But if you don’t get them fixed you end up with 40 and they become a health hazard and the poor little ones start dying and it will break your heart. I’m glad you are taking care of them, they are worth the effort. I’ve got one that took 5 years to tame, now I can’t keep her out of my lap.
Good luck
You are VERY bright!
That’s the problem with feeding strays, they breed like ‘rabbits’. You did everything so right!
The crazy cat lady who starts feeding strays, without the smart moves that you made to control the population, just makes for the hoarder in the neighborhood.
Those strays poo in my yard too!
No. I adopted the one, fixed her and she's now outside cat. On extremely rare occasions I feed the other one that visits her - I think it's her brother because I found both under the hot tub when it was cold last winter.
I started feeding both then a big gray was spotted and another black, then a yellow. You feed one, they all come. Fortunately haven't seen the other ones at all in about 9 months.
If I had the money, I'd take every stray and have them fixed.
He used to say, “ Oz, where the men are men, and the sheep are scared...” I have to hand it to him, as he chose This Land to become a citizen of...
You have to catch them first. =)
Oh geez, I thought I was a sucker.
Ex mother in law got into the same situation, she had a barn so they mostly stayed away from the house but same as with you, they over populate, get sick. Bad situation.
After all this talk, I'm beginning to think this lady was the smart one...throw them in the dumpster!
Yep. I remember reading an article on here where a lady "bred" cats for a living and I thought "that's a skill??" They breed just fine on their own. Some people pay big bucks for smash faced cats - I can't figure that one out.
Tazmania and New Zealand are different stories...
Where you been, DHtH???
That's so much better than "garbage cart". From now on it's "wheelie bin" at my house.
You have a good heart :)
I’m not a cat person but recently adopted a stray. I have a question. What’s the best remedy for hot spots? Mine has one on her neck and isn’t getting better. In fact, worse every day..
I’ve never had one with it, so I can’t give you any advice,
Sorry,
Robbin
This camera was set up by the owners of the cat. Not the town or government.
Our cats have been having problems with that this summer. Losing hair, scratching and had lumpy, scabby areas. We used Frontline for fleas but the vet had us switch to Advantage, said it’s better for flea control and it seems our animals were just having a bad stress reaction the fleas (even tho’ we never saw any fleas on them or in the house.) Since we switched in early July, the spots have cleared up and haven’t come back.
(and the spots started on their necks, on all of them.)
I appreciate your post. This poor thing is healthy but it continues to worsen.
It could be behavioral(new home), new food( special kitty) or my disdain for for the cat being on me all the time.
Love the cat, just an ugly bald spot.
