What makes New Orleans so special that EVERY year we get these WAA WAA storie? New ways to bash Bush? Collage Journ-O-Lista MSM types re-living their drunken Mardis Gras past in NO? What?
it’s just a way to keep that money pit open for the suckers
They have some BS NOLA “....and the creek don’t rise” crap of a show on HBO that I swore I’d pull my service on over........dont’ want to hear any more of it. I don’t care what happened or what happens to them anymore.
They love to *itch about Bush and Katrina but does anyone ever talk about those who bore the actual responsibility? The mayor of N.O. and the former governor? No? Gee, I wonder why, could it be because they are communists and Bush was a pro-American (most of the time) President?
Its insane isnt it? Overload!!!
Weary of it!They’ll ride that horse until it drops.
Can’t wait for the MSM going wall-to-wall covering the Gulf Oil Spill in 5 years.
I am sick of it.
This warhorse will live on forever no matter how hard or often they beat it.
I turned the channel away from that nonsense 5 years ago, and don’t give it 2 seconds time now either.
I just wish that the trash that came to Houston from NO immediately after Katrina would go back to NO.
And, yes, I am sick to death of hearing about that.
EXTEME storie Collage Mardis
When I turned on FOX this morning and saw they were running some kind of BS anniversary special I had the same thoughts exactly...it’s more than political correctnessIMO....the floods in the midwest and TN only killed white people so that apparently isn’t news worthy of a special. I actually hate having those thoughts but what other conclusion can you draw??.......these people drive you to it !!
That’s why my Tee Vee is OFF.
but, the problem Balding_Eagle is that you are paying through the nose for all the truck loads of money still being poured in to that place.
It just p*sses me off more everytime I see the images of how stupid and dependent on the government these people were when they were warned DAYS in advance to get the heck
out of there. It is just disgusting!
I’m sick of hearing about Katrina.
I am so sick of hearing about Katrina. This sums up Katrina
Failure of liberalism at it’s finest, but they get to blame Bush.
Where are you seeing/hearing all these stories. I don’t think I’ve seen a one nor read anything either.
The eye of the storm hit here in Mississippi,Ozero won’t come here.
Compare and contrast the coverage we will see on cable channels and the networks on the anniversary of 9/11.
Can someone total the monies collected for Katrina and the where it went exactly. Since the whining has to do with the fact that there are still people not fulfilled by the government I think that would be a place to start.
Too bad they couldn’t cover the Nashville flood even ONCE!
I think it works against the libs since they were in charge of all local and state government at the time. From that point of view I think it demonstrates how liberal socialism will always fail so I can't understand why they think it benefits them going in to this election.
The devastating destruction in Mississippi from the actual hurricane's force
Contrasted with the light Hurricane damage - but destruction of New Orleans because of incompetent management of the levy system
I remember watching tv when it hit and people were partying in the streets as the hurricane passed with a gusty wind - then the inadequate levy's broke.
They should be remembering Katrina in NO with parades and parties dragging effigies of government levy officials - throwing beads at them, setting them alight....
People should be in Mississippi, etc. morning the destruction of Katrina.
I actually heard Anderson Cooper place some blame on School Bus Nagin yesterday!
Tennesseans immediately started mitigating the flood damage without whining or complaining about lack of help. The caliber of these people is AMAZING. And in contrast....
I can’t stand it when they refer to the people as survivors. How they survived it all. I never really saw a struggle unless you call looting stores for TVs survival.
For example, anyone hear that the REASON the non Government groups like the Red Cross were prevented from going INTO NO after Katrina was because the then head of the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security prevented them from going? Because "we want those people to come out of there".
Oh, but the way, that guy's name is Mitch Landreu, current mayor of NO and brother to the Senator Kick Back, Mary Landreu
America’s #2 original sin behind slavery?
The state media is following their instructions from the WH - the Dims are running against Bush in November.
I also noticed this morning that on the 10:AM network shows, ABC was selling Obama’s education program, CBS was selling Kitty Kelly’s books, NBC was selling the TV show “Glee” and only Fox was interviewing Glen Beck about yesterday’s event.
If they broadcast it and noone watches, was it really ever broadcast?
Sick of it too. I just wonder how much $ nagin walked away with and why should my damn tax bucks go to rebuild in an area thats gonna flood again anyway...
All this hub-bub anniversary crud is to show that Katrina was “worse” than the oil spill. Obummer handled the oil spill better than Bush handled Katrina.
It is about bashing Bush and giving Obummer another chance to whine about how Bush handled things and what a mess the annointed one inherited.
This all makes Obummer look better but does it give us more jobs?
The stupid ones will watch their teevees and rail against the Repubs and vote dem again in Nov.
It’s all about POLITICS!!!
My post self deleted!
Ditto that. I had already decided that there’s no way I’m ever visiting that town and I change the rradio/TV channel every time I hear mention of “Katrina”.
So over it I don’t care if the whole region gets nuked. Let the welfare crybabies grow up and be self-sufficient instead of walking around with their hands out begging for more government money.
Shoot yer set top box.
Confucius says: “Man who builds city below water line is all wet.”
Years ago my father used to note with bemusement about how the media was absorbed with the evils of the Hitler and the nazi party... and they were, but never ever mentioned the murderous Stalin, Castro, Mao or Kruschev.
Though the people in MS and LA seemed to get on with life fairly quickly while there is still a lot of self-pity in N.O.
Just a guess.
Too true! I love that.
I live in Jefferson parish, born and raised in Orleans and I’M sick of the perpetual victim party!
I evacuated with a bed-ridden father who died 2 months later because of Katrina, so I can speak about loss- but ENOUGH!
New Orleans is declining due to various factors that cannot be reversed. It is sinking, and will continue to sink. The Gulf of Mexico is encroaching and cannot be stopped , and storms will continue to overcome any pitiful defenses built to protect the city from water. It is the natural course of things. Everything south of Lake Pontchatrain SHOULD be and WILL be ‘wetlands’.
Everyone knows it, no one wants to face it.
But the Pity Cow has been milked dry re. Katrina. Are Bay St.Louis and Pass Christian throwing huge pity parties?
What everyone has to understand is that New Orleans throws
‘fests’ for everything. This is just Katrina Fest- second line parades, food and media attention.
Dancing on the Titanic.
Locals like me- who are stuck here for now- are sick of it too.
It is as if n.o. was the only place that was hit.
Biloxi, Mississippi was wiped off the map. They rebuilt (and continue to do so) and media ignore them as well as the others places hit!
It is all about N.O. though since that is a “cooler” place for “reporters” to bitch about Bush!
it’s the democrat plantation platform for the november elections.
