Compare and contrast the coverage we will see on cable channels and the networks on the anniversary of 9/11.

Can someone total the monies collected for Katrina and the where it went exactly. Since the whining has to do with the fact that there are still people not fulfilled by the government I think that would be a place to start.

"Failure of liberalism at it’s finest, but they get to blame Bush."

I think it works against the libs since they were in charge of all local and state government at the time. From that point of view I think it demonstrates how liberal socialism will always fail so I can't understand why they think it benefits them going in to this election.

It boggles the mind

The devastating destruction in Mississippi from the actual hurricane's force

Contrasted with the light Hurricane damage - but destruction of New Orleans because of incompetent management of the levy system

I remember watching tv when it hit and people were partying in the streets as the hurricane passed with a gusty wind - then the inadequate levy's broke.

They should be remembering Katrina in NO with parades and parties dragging effigies of government levy officials - throwing beads at them, setting them alight....

People should be in Mississippi, etc. morning the destruction of Katrina.

Tennesseans immediately started mitigating the flood damage without whining or complaining about lack of help. The caliber of these people is AMAZING. And in contrast....

I can’t stand it when they refer to the people as survivors. How they survived it all. I never really saw a struggle unless you call looting stores for TVs survival.

Not only that anyone had a complete belly full of the LIES they are repeating?

For example, anyone hear that the REASON the non Government groups like the Red Cross were prevented from going INTO NO after Katrina was because the then head of the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security prevented them from going? Because "we want those people to come out of there".

Oh, but the way, that guy's name is Mitch Landreu, current mayor of NO and brother to the Senator Kick Back, Mary Landreu

The state media is following their instructions from the WH - the Dims are running against Bush in November.

I also noticed this morning that on the 10:AM network shows, ABC was selling Obama’s education program, CBS was selling Kitty Kelly’s books, NBC was selling the TV show “Glee” and only Fox was interviewing Glen Beck about yesterday’s event.

All this hub-bub anniversary crud is to show that Katrina was “worse” than the oil spill. Obummer handled the oil spill better than Bush handled Katrina.
It is about bashing Bush and giving Obummer another chance to whine about how Bush handled things and what a mess the annointed one inherited.
This all makes Obummer look better but does it give us more jobs?
The stupid ones will watch their teevees and rail against the Repubs and vote dem again in Nov.
It’s all about POLITICS!!!

Ditto that. I had already decided that there’s no way I’m ever visiting that town and I change the rradio/TV channel every time I hear mention of “Katrina”.

So over it I don’t care if the whole region gets nuked. Let the welfare crybabies grow up and be self-sufficient instead of walking around with their hands out begging for more government money.

I have enjoyed seeing the stories about the individuals of the Mississippi Gulf Coast pulling up their bootstraps and working to rebuild. If one were to compare and contrast NOLA with the Mississippi Gulf Coast, one would have two opposite poles with which to describe. Katrina made her wrath known to Mississippi, NOLA was a man made disaster from years of Democrat directed negligence and political corruption with respect to the levies. It is a matter of time before it happens again..NOLA will go back into squalor and the Ms Gulf Coast will quietly rebuild. I lived in Biloxi five years after Camille and saw the residents there rebuilding from that disaster. I guess the fable of the ant and grasshopper is appropriate when comparing Mississippi to NOLA.
