Mostly busy with the work I do with rescued horses. I find peace working with them. I usually hit the beach after the summer people leave. Living here on the NJ shore I've found I have a better time after they leave lol. Otherwise it was fun & we saved a bunch of horses from slaughter.

The Person Of The Bible

During a church leaders’ conference at Seattle Pacific University, noted pastor Earl Palmer recalled an experience that shaped his teaching and preaching for half a century.

As a seminary student, he led a Bible study where he encouraged the participants to consider the words of Scripture. “I became convinced,” Palmer said, “that if I could get someone to look at the text, sooner or later the text would win their respect, and it would always point them to its living center: Jesus Christ. And when Jesus Christ has your respect, that’s not very many inches away from faith.”

Jesus told a group of religious leaders, who were well acquainted with the Old Testament but violently opposed to Him, “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life” (John 5:39-40).

It requires an open heart as well as an inquiring mind to study the Bible. When we discover Jesus as the Person to whom the entire Bible points, we must then decide how to respond to Him.

There is great joy for all who will open their hearts to Christ and find life in Him.

That waters crops and seed;
It brings new life to open hearts,
And meets us in our need. —Sper

The written Word leads us to Christ the living Word.

Loved the cute opening this morning and the MUSIC, Amy and Billie! Lori’s Pledge was precious also!

I’m not sure how much I can be around today but I will when I can.

Oh, I did not know you worked with rescued horses! I love you for that! Horses are my passion (along with my sweet dogs and an adorable donkey)

We have a 'rescue horse' - a mare that had been kept tied to a tree 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She's a dapple grey with black mane & tail, and her name is Gracie (for "saved by the grace of God") What a joy to see her thrive in a happy environment. :)

I swear this is my friend’s dog when she was a puppy! What a cutie - those eyes are exactly like Emma’s. :)

Hi Pandy! I loved to hear about your work with rescued horses. I’m sure its a rewarding job and you are wonderful to do it!

After our kids grew up, my hubby and I always waited until the season was over to go to Myrtle Beach in September. We went once in October and it was wonderful. Love it when the crowds leave!

Thank you, jaycee. It's a fun song that's being used for some new fall TV show or something - I've heard it a couple of times lately, and it made me remember the movie, ‘Oh Brother, Where Art Thou” with George Clooney. That was the cutest movie, and the music was so infectious I bought the soundtrack! I was never crazy about blue mountain music, but those songs got in my head and changed my mind!

I listened to the 1st Taylor video but haven’t gotten to the other one you posted. He is good in that ‘nightclub setting’, isn’t he? I believe he has been body-building, too! Wow!
