Good evening!
The unofficial summer ends this weekend with Labor Day, and the 0 administration is forced to face the Non-Recovery Recovery Summer.
It plans to do this by having the President make yet another speech with more exhortations, platitudes, empty ideology, and oh... possibly another mortgage -forgiveness program.
At least that's the rumor.
Another tour thru 0bama World, where little makes sense, nor advances real prosperity.
Hope it's a good weekend for you!
Good evening! Thanks for getting our week started.
Good Evening Molly. tomorrow I’ll pack away the white shoes (not worn ONCE all summer) and the white slax (ditto)..
Thunder Boomers in the distance. So what else is new? This is Iowa, land of more rain than we know what to do with.. hoping for minimal flash flooding for those who are near creeks, streams and rivers.
Molly, thank you for keeping us together this week. You and lysie are...what can I say....just gems. Thank you.
Good morning, lysie. Yes, going fishing Thursday and Friday with camera in tow.
For the past 2 days, my incredibly liberal life-long friend (grew up together in same class in tiny town, rural OK, same grade, same college, college roommates) has come from Loveland where he lives, to shop do some shopping and he has been to see me and hang out. He once told me he was 'to the left of Ted Kennedy'. During the 2008 presidential campaign, he told me for the first time ever he had sent money to a presidential campaign, to my astonishment. If I would have guessed him to send money to a candidate in the past I would have thought of U0X42, or a number of others, but would have never thought he would send $ to hussein.
The past 2 days, I have gone off on hussein a couple of times practically screaming, slamming, cursing, etc. He has been silent every time. Not a peep.
Good morning all. I missed Boomsday yesterday....too many people
Good morning.

Good morning!
I have a little “I told you so” I just have to share before I head off to bed. My s-i-l, a PhD in nutrition and my b-i-l, an M.D. and PhD in nutrition (from MIT) have her father living with them, over from England, hoping to try a “cure” for Alzhimer’s by having him drink coconut oil. So since he isn’t getting meat (and I mean red meat) he has become anemic, so we took him out for a steak on Saturday. He ate it like a starving man. Just goes to show you what the body needs.
That just makes good sense. He had no dietary intake of iron? Good grief! These people had lost their minds.
I am sure they ply him with supplements since my b-i-l works for a company that manufactures them. This is why I was surprised when my s-i-l told me he was anemic. Sometimes we need to get what the body needs from FOOD. His wife told me a couple of years ago when we visited her in England that she told her doctor there that my b-i-l had sent her natural vitamins to take, and he replied to her, “Well, hemlock is natural too, but I wouldn’t recommend it.”
Have they checked his B12 levels? If he cannot absorb that in his stomach, then it doesn’t matter how much he swallows, he still won’t be getting enough B12. That can lead to anemia also.
All: if someone has a B12 anemia, they need injections, not pills.
I am sure they did that test too. I never thought I would think he may be better off back in England under NHS care. Well, off to bedroomshire, night Jemian.
Good night, Citizen. Sleep well.
Raven, we didn't miss the fireworks in our area: we can watch them right out of our windows on the west side of the house!
IG, you aren't here so much, but you're not forgotten.
2/3rds...thanks for the info on Reid and the NRA...(you answered my question why he got their endorsement, then lost it.) Thanks!
Got a notice this a.m. about the local Tea Party's rally later in the month. Planning on attending, definitely!
Oh, and good to have you here, K. Good grief... hope that poor man feels better soon.
I'm currently a Life Member of the NRA and I just sent in my dues to become an Endowment Life Member of the NRA.
Thank you, basil!
Another plug for women arming themselves....after proper instruction and training of course. Empowerment, oh yes...
Since the libs never write down their philosophy, you need to read the NYTimes to get a feel for it.
Oops...I just remembered---they did write it down.....the EU Constitution. Remember that?
Woooo Hooo! I love it!
I Don’t remember the EU Constitution, Rav, and I don’t care about the EU Constitution.
Bout to put a foot thru my computer, slow, can’t spell, I really need a new one, still thinking about a portable.
The rabbit I told you all about yesterday is found, escaped from his (or her) box, lady neighbor next door is taking it.
Kids home from school today and I am going to clean my ‘shack’, did not do it yesterday as I had promised myself. Gonna mop, dust the place, wash some dishes who think the sink is their home. I am bad about that.
Slow today. BUT—VERY good weather, not a cloud in the sky.
Toby
Good morning, Toby. There are many rabbits here. Ugh. :( I know a few other people who store their dishes in their sink. Hmmmmm.
Gorgeous day here, too.
Hello everybody, I tried to check in on Friday but FR was down. We left the land of deer, elk and bear and are now out on the prairie at mil and fil’s place. Will be here a few days are availing ourselves to the opportunity to get things washed up, namely the RV, rugs, dog. etc.
Hope everybody is having a good and safe Labor Day weekend. I’m enjoying a respite from the news.
Hmmm, wish I’d seen this earlier. Got up, exercised, had coffee, played a round of golf, came in made bacon-egg sandwich for Roomey w/coffee, egg sandwich for me wo bread, coffee.
He’s embarrased he supported the foreigner.
This is the first year in a long time that we didn’t go to the NYS Fair. The entertainment was lousy , IMO.
Hard to believe we are coming up on 9 years after 9/11....I can still remember that day like it was yesterday. The one memory I will carry with me until I die ....was the silence of no airplanes in the sky....what a strange quiet.
Nine long years and the world will never be the same again.
>>Dont remember the EU Constitution
The European Union.......
New tagline
Very cute. How is your dad?
Oh, I knew what it was, Rav, I was just saying that I detest it.
Oh! I hadn’t read the news side.
Hey, Now that the primaries are winding down and we are getting our candidates, I have started sending campaign contributions from the $ that I made working overtime on Orion (what the muslim wants to destroy) on ‘stimulus’ money. Michelle Bachmann was number one on the runway. Hers is already in the air. Do you remember the list of the twelve who caved on DEATHcare at the last minute? I want to get a list of them and their Republican opponents so that I can contribute to the 12 R’s. I’m also going to send anonymous postcards to each of the 12 CRAT that caved and inform them of what I did and why I did it.
The House has now passed the Senate version of the health care bill and a reconciliation measure that will now go to the Senate. The "Senate version" of the health care bill passed the House in a 219 to 212 vote, with all Republicans and 34 Democrats voting against it.blockquote>Checking for the house vote now.
That was the house vote. I’m getting the list of 12 RATs. Sorry. Not thinking too clearly.
Here is the list of RATS who voted against the deathcare bill:
Rep. John Adler (D-N.J.)
Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.)
Rep. Michael Arcuri (D-N.Y.)
Rep. John Barrow (D-Ga.)
Rep. Marion Berry (D-Ark.)
Rep. Dan Boren (D-Okla.)
Rep. Rick Boucher (D-Va.)
Rep. Bobby Bright (D-Ala.)
Rep. Ben Chandler (D-K.Y.)
Rep. Travis Childers(D-Miss.)
Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.)
Rep. Lincoln Davis (D-Tenn.)
Rep. Chet Edwards (D-Texas)
Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-S.D.)
Rep. Tim Holden (D-Pa.)
Rep. Larry Kissell (D-N.C.)
Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-Md.)
Rep. Daniel Lipinksi (D-Ill.)
Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.)
Rep. Jim Marshall (D-Ga.)
Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah)
Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-N.C.)
Rep. Mike McMahon (D-N.Y.)
Rep. Charles Melancon (D-La.)
Rep. Walt Minnick (D-Idaho)
Rep. Glenn Nye (D-Va.)
Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.)
Rep. Mike Ross (D-Ark.)
Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.)
Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.)
Rep. Zack Space (D-Ohio)
Rep. John Tanner (D-Tenn.)
Rep. Gene Taylor (D-Miss.)
Rep. Harry Teague (D-N.M.)
Now, iirc, there were 12 pubbies that caved on cap-n’-tax.
As I said, I’m not thinking too clearly. Are you looking for pubbies or rats and House or Senate?
OH! Sheesh! It WAS the 12 R’s NOT 12 CRAT that caved on DEATHcare. I was thinking crosswired. I’m too late to send $ to the R opponents of the sitting ones. Thanks for the list!
According to CBS NO PUBs caved on healthcare, at least not in the House. Are you looking for the Senate vote?
Just for the record, I LOVE my dogs. I do NOT like Caligula, not at all.
I’ve never been there.
