Do not post anything like that again.
I guess it is “viable”. Just not as profitable as they want. But I would imagine millions of dollars in “subsidies” would work wonders! And more millions for “studies”.
If Australia’s really serious about it, how about a bounty? Although I imagine that is what is drawing the “marksmen” in? I suppose some better roads in and out for transportation to market if it catches on would be a good idea.
In Australia, the usual problem with doing anything sensible is The Greens ... Sorry to sound bitter. They will find some reason why we cannot do it.
No real reason why not. I am sure camel meat is healthy and nutrious.
One hump is for cats, two humps for dogs?
As long as it’s raw and bloody, Odin’s not gonna bother counting humps to see if he got short-changed....:))
It looks fairly well-marbled, for a lean red meat. The description says tastes like sweetened beef. My initial reaction before seeing your link was that it could be gamey like goat. My guess would be seared and rare is best, like venison.
somehow I ain’t too sure that this is such a good idear....
No doubt camel meat is healthy and nutritious.
I know ol’ Ted Nugent likes to remind us that wild game and grass-fed beef has got all sorts of good stuff that feedlot cows do not have. Including those Omega 3 fatty acids usually found in cold-water fish.
Forget the teeth and urine. If it was possible to harvest camel farts, we’d be talking serious alternate energy!
