The article calls a rabat a “connector”, another site defines rabat as a “fortified place”. Either way, it’s a forward base and an embassy. I would bet a paycheck that if it is built, the building and the land at Park51 will not be considered US soil...it will be Allah’s ground. It will be a statement that they are here to stay, and it will be seen by the Islamic world as a victory monument. You and I won’t be able to go in there further than the gift shop and the taqqiya movies...

I thought that this might be a kind of "forward post" for the Muslim onslaught. Remarkable that nobody in the mainstream press has picked up on this in a meaningful way... just kidding.
