Te thread we were speaking of was not solicitation that I could see as it was just posting what a Senator stated. However, it was pulled.

Under the FR rules of solicitation, threads can be pulled. In other words, every thread, according to the moderator, should be pulled, as we are soliciting comments! The Mods have lost it...and, very soon, us!!!!!!

As the elite establishment GOP is going after the upstart "we the people" (O'Donnell) and Tea Party supported candidates (Miller), it seems the same is happening here on FreeRepublic! Conservatives supporting conservatives has always been our way! The mods continue to pull candidate supportive threads.

You know that I have posted plenty of threads in support of Florida candidates and have not had threads pulled. It seems just lately that it has been happening on a regular basis. Why, I don't know.

When long time Freepers who have put a great deal into FR start having threads pulled...for no common sense reason, it is time for Jim to explain what the Mods are doing or supposed to do.

The Chairwoman of our National Free Republic Convention has threads and posts pulled???

Give me a break. We have a long-standing policy against posting solicitations. The thread in question was definitely a solicitation for campaign funds. I sometimes make exceptions if someone asks, but we usually pull all blatant solicitations for donations. If we didn’t, FR would soon be wall to wall fundraisers for campaigns and causes.

Yeah, me too. They are privy to "special information," and post snarky comments to long-time FReepers under color of authority.

The mods are just people. Volunteers who put in long hours for no pay. And they take one hell of a lot of crap from snarky posters (long-time and newbie). They have to have thick skin or they die. Sometimes they get snarky back. It happens.
