"Breuning recalled "the dark ages," when his family moved to South Dakota in 1901 and lived for 11 years without electricity, water or plumbing." Sounds like the movie "Legends of the Fall." God bless this old timer, but I suggest we are living in a darker age now.

My aunt lived to 96, despite whiskey and cigarettes. Of course, she did give up the ciggies at 70. And she really did say, “If I had known I would live so long, I would have taken better care of myself”. Rest in peace, Aunt Willibelle, I’ll see you shortly.

I had a great aunt lived to be 104. Walked from her house down to the beach and crabbed every day, and she had her bourbon every day.
She was doing great until they had to carry her out in a helicopter during hurricane Camille.

My aunt was into crabbing big time. She and my uncle built a tiny shack beside the bay and for weeks would set traps every day. Hmmm, maybe we just discovered the key to longevity!
