In light of the newly revealed “Blackfish” organization cutting nets holding dolphins in Taiji earlier this week, Captain Paul Watson has written an article clarifying what little the Sea Shepherd know about the European conservation group.
“Who and what is blackfish? We do not know,” writes Watson. “In fact, until the report that dolphin holding pen nets had been cut in Taiji harbour and a release to that effect was posted, we had never heard of this group.”
What’s odd about this statement is that all of the Blackfish co-founders: Arne Feuerhahn, Christine Bindal, and Wietse van der Werf — are current (as of this summer) Sea Shepherd crew members. Even more revealing is the fact that the crew of the Sea Shepherd on the ship MV Bob Barker posed for a photo back in late August holding up a banner supporting a then-current Blackfish campaign.
So yes, we’re pretty sure the Sea Shepherd have heard of Blackfish.
Regardless, Watson is attempting to distance the Sea Shepherd from the net-cutting so that the media (and Japanese fishermen) do not confuse the actions of one for the other.

Oh my Paul hates it when that happens. Being caught lying. What a loon.
LOL, what a lying sack of whale crap.
Thanks for the find, it’s precious.
If I were a whale (and I am getting there), I would be ashamed to be represented by these idiots.
Watson is a certifiable nutter. Even the guys who founded Greenpeace with him want nothing to do with him (Watson was kicked out of Greenpeace back in the 80’s IIRC). It’s only a matter of time before he kills someone.
Please add me to your list. I love seeing this fat sack of sanctimonious sh*) Capt Kangaroo look alike humiliated and called on his BS.
You’ve been added. Welcome aboard.
“DORFINNNN AND WHERRRRRRRRRE”
The world is a vampire. kewl
When does the new campaign start or are they keeping it top secret?
In an email to the website Ecorazzi, Captain Paul Watson, founder and President of the organization, confirmed the news saying, "Yes, there will be a 4th season of 'Whale Wars'. The next campaign is Operation No Compromise and it begins December 2nd out of Hobart, Tasmania.

Expect "Whale Wars: Season Four" to hit Animal Planet sometime in early summer 2011.
We know we won't see Pete Bethune because they kicked him out as you know for legal reasons.
I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a fourth ship to deal with the Shonan Maru 2 (the security boat). You know Watson wants to take them out of the action because not only did they tail him for nearly a month but they destroyed the Ady Gil.
Watson doesn't care what people think, you know he is a radical and has put many people in danger over and over again so I really don't see anything changing. I am really interested at what is going on in Taji though (Dolphin Slaughter).
I watched the movie "The Cove" and was somewhat swayed but I don't think that having dolphins at zoos or Sea World is criminal. The problem with the animal rights movement is they have no room for moderates, only extremists.
You know I personally oppose whaling and killing of dolphins and the finning of sharks, but these people don't have room for moderates, they have to take everything to the extreme and tie it all into the liberal agenda.
I added most of the Sea Shepherd team on Facebook and it is clear there is no room for moderates. I don't think that most of them are bad (Watson is bad), they are just psychotic. As Michael Savage stated long ago, "liberalism is a mental disorder".
I love re-watching Season 1 of Whale Wars where in the FIRST episode four people fall overboard in freezing water. I mean that takes incompetence to a brand new level.
I am going to be tracking the campaign this winter and I think we should make threads for breaking news, such as sinking of ships, boarding of ships, ramming of ships, ect...
There were some nasty threads after the Ady Gil was sunk, but you are able to keep these threads civil. It will be one crazy winter, I guarantee that.
Oh do you know if Blood Dolphin got canceled? That is a goofy show. It is the guy from “The Cove” going around trying to negotiate with third worlders living in crap to not kill dolphins, completely bizarre.
