The Sooners although ranked 6 and 7 in the human polls has the highest rating from the computers moving them up to 3. THE Ohio State University still beign hurt by a poor computer ranking although that should start to change with the Big 10 schedule in full swing. After getting trampeled by 'Bama, the Gators fell from 3 to 11. Arizona cracked the top 10 rising from 12.

Bama’s got a tough schedule, playing a lot of top 10 teams. Beat #10 Arkansas. Beat #7 Florida. And will play current #7 LSU and #9 Auburn.

NCAA Division One College Football - The only sport on earth where a playoff does not determine the champion.

The Tide is looking like a monster, having beaten Arkansas, Penn State, and Florida. It could be a repeat year for them.

Why would OSU ranking change with the Big 10 Schedule ahead? The Big 10 is just a shadow of its former self and highly over rated by some of the Eastern Press. Every year some Big 10 Champion has a high ranking and then they go to a big Bowl and get eaten alive. I don’t think Boise State should be that high and OU hasn’t really shown they that much. Alabama stands alone as number one, but I probably would put Oregon up there as number 2.

The Ohio State University have Iowa and Michigan which currently are 13 and 14 in the simulated standing. Oklahoma only has Okie State and the Big 12 now 10 Championship game. ‘Bama is the clear number 1 but there will be a big fight for number 2 where perceived strangth of schedule will be a big factor.

The “Iron Bowl” could be real interesting this year. Auburn almost pulled it off last year, and they’re even better this year.

The BCS is so fraudulent it shouldn’t even be allowed to be called a championship.

Even if they go undefeated, Oregon and Bosie State will not be allowed in the game.

Only Eastern teams are allowed. It really should be called the ECS.

The Sooners will have to contend with Nebraska or Kansas State (if they win the South; Nebraska doesn’t depart ‘til next year.)

I sssume some folks on here call it THE Ohio State University to distinguish it from THE Ohio University, Cincinnati, or Cleavageland State. It’s kinda sad when your state only has one halfway decent team and you have to distinguish it with a THE.

Exactly.

I’m glad to see Alabama lose—not because I dislike their program but because I want to see the BCS put in a position where they have to choose Boise State.

I absolutely think Oregon could get in. No way in chipmunk do they take Texas Christian or Boise State.

It’s time for things to change. Actually, seeing Oregon lose to Oregon State would make things even sweeter, seeing as how Boise State defeated Oregon State.
