I thought I couldn’t think less of FDR, but that Churchill charmed him doesn’t surprise me.
I think Johnson does a good job of pointing out Churchill’s weaknesses and putting them in context. The importance to me of studying Churchill is that most people don’t.
We’re losing knowledge at an ever increasing rate even as more of it becomes accessible.
Excellent point, but maybe it's only our side which has lost our sense of who we are and where we came from.
Dems don't seem to have forgotten any of the old plays out of FDR's playbook.
They keep using them, and we keep falling for them.
They never forget, we never remember.
What's wrong with this picture?
He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
I believe that Gresham's Law applies to all areas of human life because, for now, it's the devil's world.
Well, do remember that they get to try their wares on a new set of youth every time.
The problem with liberalism is that it is idealistically appealing. On its surface it presents the appearance that everyone is looking out for everyone else, and everyone cares. These are very appealing to the young impressionable eye. This is why they target these younger inexperienced kids. Of course the reality is quite different. Not allowing the horse to pull the plow because it is hard on the animal seems like an ambivalent action but then the village starves to death because no crops were grown. A little wisdom quickly shows the fallacy of the whole process unless you are too slow to learn in which case you become a lifelong Democrat who is recruited to entice the next round of unwitting youth.
