Please bring back thread views.
Yep. The funnest part of posting something is seeing how many clickers it attracts.
Slow news day in Virginia?
Not really, when Paris Hilton gets 300+, and your thread about foreign policy gets 15.
Thread views is accessed via Alt-F4
In before the ping. You DO have a silk thread list, don’t you?
So it's you that's been posting that boring foreign policy crap.
Just put some porn in the foreign policy threads, that’ll increase the hits.
Please bring back clarity.
And fix the TIME.
I'm not into time, man.
Somebody actually said that to me when I was in college...
that is pretty funny but dangit!....
Do pirates like arrrrrrghrugula?
hey you, how you doing? son is going to basrah soon, can you give me an impression of this fine place?
Doing great - how are you?
...son is going to basrah soon, can you give me an impression of this fine place?
Positively delightful town. (Sorry, I'm in a facetious mood tonight. Heh!)
Basrah is hot, dusty and humid in the summer, but pretty OK most of the winter. ('Cept for the occasional sandstorm or the viscous mud when it rains, but hey, that's our Iraq.)
It's been relatively calm down there, and I don't even like to say this to a dad, but ask him to remain vigilant because there is a strong Iraq-backed radical Shiite element there. There is also the same in Baghdad and we're all OK, but it's just something to keep in mind.
So, he's coming over on Operation New Dawn - "Advise and Assist?"
My best wishes to him, a few prayers for him as well, and as always, my gratitude.
Even with the tension from that nasty neighbor to the east, Iraq is leagues better now than it was in the earlier days.
There’s even a song...
The Springfields - Silver Threads and Golden Needles
1. The caption of a popular "loldog" (dog version of lolcat) showing a dog attempting to drink from a lawn sprinkler. Word refers to the sound the dog presumably is making as it angrily (and pointlessly) attempts to subdue the water stream.
2. A one-word stand-in for any angry, incoherent, pointless reaction, comment, or attack. In online forums, the loldog referenced in (1) is often used to make the point that someone's position is incoherent, illogical, and or pointless. Simply writing 'WHARRGARBL' is also sufficient to make the point, and is especially effective if the target of your insult is one of the few people unfamiliar with the loldog. Note that incoherence or pointlessness is required for a proper WHARRGARBL reference. An angry, but otherwise logical, argument is not a WHARRGARBL. An argument that takes a reasonable (or at least arguable) position, but does so with an incoherent rant IS a valid WHARRGARBL. Coherence and logic (or the lack thereof) is in the eye of the beholder, of course. On the internets, any argument that disagrees with yours may be a valid WHARRGARBL.
He’s very good at what he does, has a special mission, guess I really shouldnt say things. would love an in depth analysys.
