Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre apologized to teammates for being a distraction after the NFL said it will investigate allegations that the 11-time Pro Bowler sent lewd photos and messages to former New York Jets employee Jenn Sterger, ESPN reported Monday.

Favre reportedly spoke to the team and began crying, according to another ESPN report, during a morning meeting in preparation for the Vikings’ Monday Night Football game against the Jets.
