I’ve got a constant pinging in my ear.

The cure is to run silent, run deep.

Give me a ping, Vasili. One ping only, please.
seriously i have had tinnitus since the mid ‘80s. 95% of the time it’s just there, like my own white noise machine. the other 5% it is annoying so i can see how it could drive some people literally crazy or addicted.
when it bo6thers me i remember i am listening to the sounds of me.

Yes, me too. I had this start about 4 months ago or so. Constant in my right ear. Sometimes louder than other days. I had had the same thing others probably have, a short buzz for a few seconds every once in a while. Now, it is never NOT there. I turn the radio in the car up now, turn the TV up, etc. I can see how it might make people depressed cause there is nothing you can do so far to make it go away. I hope they find a cause or a cure soon! I just want some quiet time!

Isn’t it odd the VA states “...a constant, persistent ringing in both ears.” Yet service connects only 10%? As in one affected limb/organ?

That’s ok with me for a little peace and quiet! They make some very very nice wigs now-a-days and I’ve got my quota of kids. :~D

Pycnogenol has been touted as good for the prostate for about ten years now and is found in a lot of prostate health support formulas.

What you need is some Pingnotatol®. It’s made from the bark of the Viking Kitty scratching post.

I’ve had ringing in the ears ever since I was a kid. Most of the time, I can ignore it. But if it is real silent, it’s tough to do.

If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard of a quack cure for the ringing in my ears, I could afford to have them replaced.

LOL! Yep, that’s what I got, and I was happy to get it, too! Had to go back to the VA after discharge to get it.

I have no idea if this might work. Hopefully, someone here knows or will know.

That ringing in the ears is something I will get every once in a blue moon so this doesn't affect me.

I have it bad enough so I can’t really take a hearing test because of the constant tones I hear. Sounds just like the tones generated by the test machine. I was once accused of being coached on a hearing test because of the number of times I was pushing the button, when there was no tone generated. The situation is definitely worse when it is quiet.

The word is pronounced tin' i tus with the accent on the first syllable but some radio commercials have changed that to ti nigh' tus changing the second syllable to a long i sound and accenting it there. I think the reason is that they think it is perceived by many people to be pronounced that way.
