DC Police SUV Hits Bumblebee at 'Transformer 3' Filming in DC

A D.C. Police SUV was involved in a wreck at the filming of "Transformers 3" in Washington D.C.

While the movie was filming a car chase scene on 3rd Street and Maryland Ave in southwest D.C., the police SUV collides with a yellow Chevy Camaro, which in the movie series is known as the character Bumblebee.

The police SUV was not supposed to be there and the wreck itself was not scripted.

The police officer driving the SUV is a 25-year veteran senior explosive ordnance technician. He was taken to a local hospital and sustained minor injuries.

Law enforcement sources tell FOX 5 that he was driving to a call for a suspicious package incident nearby and was using a different radio channel than the police officers who were securing the perimeter for the movie.

The police officer driving the SUV is probably fortunate that Optimus Prime did not show up at the scene of the accident and retaliate for hitting Bumblebee.

Sounds like the clowns in Oakland Michigan who decided they had the right to declare the street a gun free zone during their street fair.

As long as it's outside of private property, then NO there should be no problem whatsoever. If an officer has got to get to a hot call then let that officer get there any way he possibly needs too......as long as it doesn't involve someone's private property (house, garage, closed business, etc).

Sounds like the ones who screwed up were the guys who were supposed to be guarding the perimiter. If it was a lefitimate emergency, shooting should have stopped. I would assume everyone driving had radios.

I saw the clip. Why were the drivers of the bumblebee so anxious to cover it up? So that people wouldn’t know the car disintigrates like crystal when it’s in an accident?

What is the carbon footprint of a movie production?

Why are good liberal film makers using SUVs in a movie in the first place? Tsk, tsk, they should be ashamed of themselves.

And what about that carbon footprint? Why are they filming chase scenes, using gas and other resources? Can’t they do it the carbon friendly way, with computer graphics?

And what’s with the violent movies also? Good liberals believe in peace and love and celebrations of diversity, not violence. Even staged make believe violence is verboten to the liberals.

Why don’t we hear more from liberals in the entertainment business about the high carbon, high violence, stereotyping of women in movies, etc.???????
