Archaeologists in Zurich have unearthed a 5,000-year-old door that may be one of the oldest ever found in Europe.

The ancient poplar wood door is "solid and elegant" with well-preserved hinges and a "remarkable" design for holding the boards together, archaeologist Niels Bleicher said today.

As old as Stonehenge! I read the article but it doesn’t explain how the wood managed to be preserved that long, it isn’t like it was in dry sand!

They found a dagger and long bow too. Someone else mentioned ‘dovetail’, which is what I tried to describe above.

.

Dry clay can preserve wood - or - bodies

I wondered if they had used preservative salts - the alleged “experts” of today cannot even raise or build small 8”-12” replicas of Egyptian stone objects
Watching them try with a bunch of modern scientists and builders is hillarious

They never can explain the fine very narrow straight deep cuts in stone

The ancients are laughing at us

They just haven’t explained how it was preserved. Lots of clay soil down in this area of Texas. People have to get good topsoil and get it dug in to grow good gardens in some places.

There is a lot they can’t explain about the ancients.
Aliens from outer space? LOL, who knows about the pyramids?

The Egyptians, Africans, and Muslims don’t seem to be able to live up to the alleged achievements in architecture, construction, agriculture, socializing peaceably, education, science, surviving, self-sufficiency, prosperity, etc, that they all brag of from thousands - much less only hundreds - of years ago -

It must kill them that Cleo was not actually an Egyptian.....

A lot of cultures have gone downhill it seems, down and remained static. And - right now I believe England and France are degenerating.

So are we if it continues much longer.
Hey, we all know Cleo was Elizabeth Taylor!

Forgot to reply today about Howard Hughes. Wow, think he managed to ‘almost marry’ every big star but he went on the the next one before the previous woman ever committed, lol

I didn't recall about him and Hepburn but know he designed Jane Russel's ‘bullet bra’. Thank goodness THAT didn't last long.

Unfortunately they can’t find the 5000 year old key.

I used to know a lot about him and the other stars of that time. I’ve forgotten a lot but it’s amazing how much I do remember. I don’t know a thing about the ‘stars’ of today and don’t care to.

I don’t care for their morals or way of life. The women all look alike, like Barbie dolls, with plastic surgery, lol.
