Undefeated so far, and they beat 6-2 VT, who probably will earn a bowl.

Good enough for me.

Surprised me, too. Newton is an unbelieveable player, but he took 3 or 4 or the toughest hits he has had to take all year against LSU. I think they would still be pretty good without him (Malzahn is great, too), but he creates problems for defenses that nobody else does. He is Tebow with real speed.

Put our current defense with some of Tubby’s three-and-out offenses and we would only be batting 500 this year. Right now, I am just hoping Newton doesn’t get hurt. Saban is a defensive guru. You know Newton will take a lot of punishment in that game.

This is why it’s time to cheer that Awbrun will go down, to make it 5 successive number 1 teams who have lost the spot the following week.

So BCS undefeateds:

Mizzou, MSU, Awbrun and Oregon. 3 more need to go down to give Boise a shot at the national championship.

You might get your way. Boise gets a bye every week. Maybe they can play TCU in another bowl game so we can see how powerful they are again. They are making a mockery of college football.

I said margin of victory should be taken into consideration, not that I think it should be a major factor.

On the other hand, when a team is winning several games by a small margin, that should be factored in as well.

Five of Auburn’s wins have been by a TD or less; three of them by only three points. The only one of those teams that might have been within 20-30 points of Oregon is LSU.

Yeah, that superpower Virginia Tech. Missouri beat Oklahoma. Auburn beat LSU. Your team beat that superpower Virginia Tech, who lost to James Madison.

Arguing with the BS crowd is like arguing with liberals. They want a high school team as champs and that is it.

I’m with you. I think Oregon is the best there is. They beat a good Stanford team who got them down early.

Fine, who was the last BCS team to beat Boise?

Two ranked BCS teams went down. If the BCS wants to be considered stronger than Boise, then perhaps they need to actually beat Boise.

As it is, Boise just keeps on beating them. Just a thought here. Boise, I’m sure, would be thrilled to play whomever the BCS number one is every week, since we’ve had some really all-time winner squads.

Looks like TCU will probably end up with a better case than Boise if they beat Utah.

OMG. BSU screwed again by the BCS. After Auburn loses to ‘Bama, I wonder which 1-loss team will get the spot Boise State has earned over and over...

I hope all the tier one teams suffer at least one loss and BSU & TCU run the tables. I want to see the BCS' weaknesses shown in full light.

Just goes to show the hidden bias in the BCS numbers without regard to actual records. Just more reason to scrap the polls at playoff time. Polls are about as meaningless as Obummer.

Boise actually beat the daughters of those cookie makers that live in the tree. They're vicious.

Go Ducks!

Who cares if we are 1 or 2 in College Fantasy FB until the last week of the season. We have SC this week and that will get the respect we need.

We need a Tourny of Champions. Take the top 6 leagues and add 2 at large to have a playoff.

Bring on SC

If BSU and TCU were ranked 1 and 2 (or reversed—doesn’t matter) based on their records, maybe the pansies that complain they are weak teams in weak leagues would be willing to play them and see who is better. I doubt they will risk it.

The Bama defense is not pressuring the QB's as they should be. I think the focus is on the weak secondary to improve. We ain't what we were last year and the offense is spotty. It's like Ingram is hurt or depressed or something. I'm not seeing those 4-6 yards after first contact. Maybe everyone is just zeroed in on him when he's in the game.

Actually, it’s easy to see a scenario whereby both Boise State and TCU are the ONLY unbeaten teams left standing..

I can see Auburn losing to Bama ( though I’d like to see Auburn run the table) and then see Bama lose in the SEC title game...Mizzou loses to Nebraska, USC beats the ducs..and Michigan State loses to the Hawkeyes..so now we have two NON auto BCS qualifers as the only perfect teams...there’d be hell to pay..

I’d take that criticism with more weight if they weren’t shut out of playing any of the highly ranked teams.

It seems rather unfair to refuse to allow a team to play any great teams, and then fault them for not playing those great teams.

The fact that so many “great” teams are scared to play Boise State should weigh in their favor.

It is just unfortunate for them that this years “sacrificial lamb” Virginia Tech was so dejected by their loss that they lost their second game as well.

Note that last year, even when Boise State was given a BCS bowl game, the powers refused to allow them to play any of the “named” teams, instead putting them with the other non-contender team so a win wouldn’t prove they could “beat the big guys”.

Well, that would never happen right? Because even if Boise State got to play in the championship, they'd still have to win against the other team ranked in the top in the country.

And if they could beat that team, wouldn't that strengthen the case that they deserved to be there?

That's why last year, when the BCS HAD to let Boise State play in their bowl games, they stuck them against TCU rather than one of the ranked conference teams, so nobody could see if BS could trash one of those conference teams.
